To all MMORPG freaks/maniac/newbies etc: I'm doing some research about the culture in MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) and i really need a feedback here so please with all your might help me in the name of gamers god...

There are some question that i want to ask you all...

1. How was the life in MMORPG?

2. For the noob/newbies, how are you interact with your senior/senpai/higher level player in the games?

3. For the veteran/higher level class, what tips that you give for your kohai/junior/noob in the games and how do you interact with them?

4. Which one is better? work as a group or alone in the online game (MMORPG)

you don't have to answer all...you can answer any one of these question but please help me get the feedback....

may the gamers god bless you all!!!

I'll help you out.

question 1:
Life in MMORPG is mostly about "Grinding". Which means, grinding money, grinding experience etc. The party and guild function that exist in almost all MMORPG games added the fun and excitement, and prolong the longevity of one's character lifespan in the game.

question 2 & 3:
IMO, all are equal in MMORPG. There is actually no need to call someone "senpai" if he is higher level than you; except for formality or just maybe wanting to make the game experience more fun and enjoyable. I have buddy who is higher level than me and I just call him by the nick, same goes to the lower levels as well.

question 4:
It's up to the person themselves and depends on the situation. I usually goes hunting / leveling all by myself since I like it that way. But working in group produce much more desirable result rather than alone. Since working in group makes leveling easier, have support and also prevent your mind from going blank because of working too much alone.

I'll contribute aswell,

Q1) -
hmm, well, for me, MMORPG or any games are just time killer to me..
so i don't really care as long as its fun,

Q2) -
I didn't really care about those who are high levelers than me, sure i say "awesome" or "cool" to myself
other than that i just ignore them

Q3) -
To tell you the truth, i [u]never ignored a beginner as long as they don't beg for money or absurd requests.

Q4) -
I say, it depends on the mood and the people who you are with.
say 4 years ago, i got hooked into gunbound where you play as a team to beat other teams...(which i enjoyed and miss)
but i think i like an individual game is better where you can get your own stuff while still interact with your friends, like i wouldn't be playing maple if i dont know any real life friends in there...

1. I mostly try to form up with frends to grind (form=party) also it gives me more xp on other mmo's. its also funner. i also like to have a nice and interactive brigade (brigade=guild) after all, these games are online so u can interact riiite (or elso it would just be on a CD)

2. I usually try to help, give tips, and encourage people/frends who are lower lvls den me. that way i make more frends, get a good rep in da game, and have FUN!!

3. Usually i talk to higher lvl people nicely. well, its not that i dun natrally talk nicely but u get it (and if u dont plzz dun ask me xDD) also if ur nice they can help u out alot. (a downside in maplestory is dat sometimes, the ppl in da community can suck, but ther r alot of nice ppl too xDD)

4. i personally say, in a group. as i already sed, if da game was ment to be played alone, they would have sold it in CD's, and not make it online. but thats mi opinion. also it helps u get closer to ur frends and helps u get more social (so u no how to sweet-talk ppl wen u need to muahahaha) jkjk xDD

well dis is mi feedback hope it helps.

O YEA, also if anyone disagrees or feels i have a wrong train of thought or sumtin, feel free to just say it, im all ears to suggegtions!!!!

o yea, here are a few vids on why teamwork is important:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jhAVsPIhTSg - do u think one ship took out all da enemies himself

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jhmIxI1J49w -ders anoterh reason xDD

in the end, ur frends are always with u, always helpin, and always, WILLING TO KICK ANYONE @$$ WHO TRIES TO KILL U, BOSS OR NCP WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

Interesting research Well... this is what maple life is like for me in the most honest form:

1. It has its ups and downs. I always bitch about collecting ridiculous amounts of items like 1000 toy drums. MTS taxing items is pretty gay. You meet cool people and dumb jerks. There are a lot of shallow people around - like this one time, a mapler called me ugly for choosing the wrong surgery. He later told me to get a face lift. I absolutely love killing noobs. I like luring them into one location with a 50k bribe and release sacks on them.

2. I ignore people who are of higher level if they're jerks to me. Basically, I hate talking to people I don't know in person. Even if it's the famous Tiger or Fangblade. I dont care.

3. I usually tell noobs to "screw off" and "leave me alone." I'm only nice to some of them if they have proper spelling.

A tip to the Noobs: Don't beg for mesos, idiots. Begging will get you nowhere. And don't sell a stupid sky-blue wooden chair for 10000000000000 NX cash. People aren't dumb, except you. I would go to gamefaqs or something and read up on guides.

4. For a low level character, I'd say go solo. It builds character For high levels, you get to go on sweet PQs, and its fun to team up around that level.

This is my honest feedback. Remember, there is no right or wrong answer.
