when we write in Japanese do we use Hiragana or Katakana or Both???

Hiragana is the main alphabet whereas Katakana is used for foreign words such as names and other words
For example: "compyu-ta-" (computer)

i think i sorta got it now...so ga is used when you're talking about oneself, and wa is used for broader subjects
ga is more for specifics right? and wa is for general? O_O

can u give me some sentences to word in japanese using wa and ga so i can separate the difference between the 2? onegaishimasu

"Wa" is the topic marker whereas "Ga" is the subject marker.
The particles "wa" (は) and "ga" (が): The particle "wa" marks the topic of the sentence and the particle "ga" marks the subject of the sentence. In the example, "I know where you live" (watashi wa anata ga doko ni sunde iru ka shitte iru), "I" would be the topic while "you" would be the subject.

oh...okay
do u mind giving me some english sentences like those and i try to translate to japanese?
altho..could u provide the vocabs for me...like the words, just dont tell me whether its "ga" or "wa"?

please and thank you!! =D

Okie.. don't mind these random sentences.. haha

1. My tooth hurts. watashi (me) ha (tooth) tai (hurts)
2. This is an apple. kore(this) ringo(apple) desu(is)
3. That stores prices are expensive. Ano (that) mise (store) nedan (Prices) takai (expensive) desu (are)

Uh.. when i find some more i'll post it... but I couldn't actually find any sentences that have "ga" on its own.. sorry!
