Psh, it may start off as attraction, but almost always ends in love. When you think about it anime has more love than real life, you say "How can you love someone you barely know", alot of real life situations I sit there questioning how people can screw someone they barely know, and chances are that usually ends bad. >.>

Of course I get your point, you can't classify it as real love, one becuase their personalities are as fake as ever ass well as them not being real themselves. They do generally grasp the concept of attaining love better than we do though.

Okay just b/c they didn't like each other at first does NOT mean that it's not real love. And just b/c they don't realize it doesn't mean it's not real love either.

But in answer to ur question > no there is neither REAL love nor attraction in anime b/c they're fictional characters. They're drawn, they're not real, they have no emotions.

they have emotions and lots ~

when u wirte a story the point is to give a personallty to the charas or its no fun.
this is the same.

my point is that it's not real

well DUH

off course its not real ppl n its not "real real love" *cuz its not real ppl XD *
but if made up charas got personalltys then they can have real love
its the storyline which makes it work.

wtf? they DON'T have personalities! They're drawn! They are fake > their emotions are fake > the storyline is fake > it's ALL fake. 2 pieces of paper cannot love each other no matter what you make them say.

im guessin u watch anime... if u dnt think the characters have personalities then y do watch anime...and so what if they aren't real...how do u know if its based on true story or not and even if the characters aren't the feel "love" exists thts all you need to know...if in anime there is not such thing as in love then wat is the point

I agree.. Anime will display more love than real life sometimes.. But there are times where anime have realistic love and unrealistic love.. Depends on how well developed the characters are..

I watch anime b/c I enjoy it. I love the story lines, I love the characters. However, that does not change the fact that it's not real. Even if it IS based on a true situation > what you're watching is animation. In the same way > there is no real love between movie/drama actors/actresses > they're ACTING. It doesn't have to be real to be enjoyed. It doesn't have to be real for it to touch your heart. It doesn't have to be real to make you think about things. So there is a point, all I'm saying is that you have to remember to distinguish fantasy from reality.

In Hana Yori Dango they don't like each other at all at first, and even when Doumyouji does begin to like Makino she still dislikes him for a fair amount of time before she starts having feelings for him. It's a gradual progression of feelings.

Yes. This Anime pierced my heart. I didn't cry but I just felt very depressed. I did continue to watch even after the ending song so I know the real ending. But still, this Anime just made me sad for a couple of days. I feel sorry for Chikane especially.
