eieieeeeiii....
that both actors - matsuyama kenichi ~ L ,n the actor who acted as Light/Raito,acted as enemies in the show ,they are actually great buddies off screen and are both attracted by the actress who acted as misa misa in the show XD

the one who acted as Light said that she is very sexy and that during filming, his eyes keeps darting towards her while matsuyama kenichi said that as in the show he had to keep a tab on misa misa so he can look at her openly. The news also reported that kenichi matsuyama keeps gifing others a cool image, he was quite friendly at hong kong promotion tour and kept joking around with fellow workers and told everyone to take note of the way he ate the snacks in the show as he purposely acted suitable expressions for different snacks! and if given the chance, he wants to act as Light/Raito's father!

eeeiizzz read this another update......

Actor Kenichi Matsuyama is currently taking a break from the filming of "The Legend of Kamui" (directed by Yoichi Sai) after suffering an injury at the end of last month.

On November 28, a sword fight scene was being shot in Kyoto. Matsuyama was struck strongly on his right thigh, leaving a bruise that is said to take three weeks to fully recover. He still attended the opening day press event for "Tsubaki Sanjuro" on December 1, but he concealed the pain from his injury.

Because of his many action scenes in "The Legend of Kamui," Matsuyama is taking a break to recover. His scenes have been postponed until the start of the year, but filming will continue without him. Producers are still aiming to wrap up filming in February, as Matsuyama has to begin working on the "Detroit Metal City" movie, which is scheduled for a summer release.

Actor Kenichi Matsuyama will be releasing a photobook next year - not as himself, but as the character L from the popular "Death Note" movies. The collection, photographed by Mika Ninagawa, will go on sale around the same time as the theatrical release of the "Death Note" spinoff, "L change the WorLd." The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on February 9.

Ninagawa is said to be a fan of L, and it was she that proposed the idea. The theme of the photobook is to depict L's everyday self. Photos were taken between August and September, at locations such as Shibuya Center Gai and the Hanayashiki Amusement Park in Asakusa.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi LiveAction

Detroit Metal City:Actor Kenichi Matsuyama has been given the starring role in the upcoming live-action film based on Kiminori Wakasugi's popular gag manga "Detroit Metal City."

Matsuyama plays Soichi Negishi, a generally naive guy who unexpectedly becomes the vocalist of a death metal band. As filming is expected to begin in late February, Matsuyama is currently undergoing guitar and voice training.

The film is being directed by Toshio Lee and distributed by Toho, with next summer targeted for release. No other cast details have been announced yet, but producers plan to include popular musicians as guest appearances.

Kamui Gaiden (2009): It starts shooting in November and will likely be out in 2009. Matsuyama Kenichi will be play the lead.

Ken'ichi Matsuyama (Death Note movies' L, NANA's Shinichi) will star in the title role, and Kankurō Kudō (Ping Pong, Ikebukuro West Gate Park) will write the screenplay. Shooting will takes place between this November and next February for an 2009 release. Release Date: October 6, 2007

Director: Morita Yoshimitsu

Southbound (「サウスバウンド」) is a family film based on the award winning novel by Hideo Okuda. The film is told through the eyes of the son of the Uehara family, Jiro, as he and his family is moved from their home in Tokyo, to a rural area in Okinawa. When Jiro is having trouble with bullying in school and his father Ichiro run into trouble with the injustice of the government, Jiro's mother Sakura suggests the family move to Okinawa where they'll be near other family members and away from the stress of the city. Everyone in the family readily agrees except for Yoko, the oldest daughter of the Uehara family who is tired of her brother's bad behavior and her father's crazy antics. She'd rather live on her own but she tags along anyway.

Once in Okinawa the Uehara family takes over an abandoned farmhouse to call their new home, meets the friendly locals, and begin happily settling into their new home. However, the Okinawa police begin to pay visits and sneaky developers plan to steal their house and land. In a heartwarming comedy/ family tale about fighting for ones rights, the Uehara family unite as one to fight for their land.

On October 13, the director of Southbound (Morita Yoshimitsu), Keiko and fellow cast member Kenichi Matsuyama (NANA, Death Note, Death Note: The Last Name) appeared on stage at the Cine Canon Yurakucho theater. Their presence there was to celebrate the new opening of the movie, "Southbound." Yoshimitsu praised Keiko and Kenichi by introducing them as "The Young Aces of the Morita Group." Kenichi took the compliment with a big smile on his face. He commented that with the director's praise, he won't have to worry about work for a while! At the show, one of the interviewers asked Keiko if she learned a "lesson" from the negative response Erika Sawajiri received when she behaved poorly for the premiere of her movie, "Closed Note" Rather than answer, Keiko just smiled and stayed silent. Smart girl. Apparently the interviewer asked her that question for the simple fact that she and Erika belong to the same agency.

Keiko attended the event wearing a cute, black frock dress. She smiled a lot and was very welcoming. I'm just glad Keiko is getting recognized more, not only as a beautiful young girl but as a potential top actress!
