ok so anime is super mainstream in japan, and everyone likes watchign a sub reather than a dub so why cant anime companies here stop paying actors to produce low quaility crappy dubs, when they can do cheap fast releases of subbed anime not to mention it be way easier, plus i can see why anime isnt broadcast more often on tv here like they are expecting us to know and love every single series they release wouldnt it be easy to advertise an anime by playing weekly episodes like in japan, and if the problem is wanting to buy dvd after watchign the series on tv japan doesnt seem to have that problem, so opinions and comments please, buy no flamming and keep everythign civil unless your ranting about the stupidity of the companies. also if this is a duplicate just delete. thank you

Well you have to account for the American animators, they're in the same industry. Its a big money game, you have to balance it somewhere. A lot of jobs revolve around different aspects of localization and clean up animation, voice recording and editing, you're taking a show and basically redoing it to broadcast or release in another country. If they were to constantly just release un-localized direct to dvd releases many jobs would be gone, and it would mess with the American made cartoon market.
Also, Japanese culture is very different and hard to grasp for some people-its not really fair to push it extensively on another culture and vice versa. Also, the FCC and broadcast companies and sponsors all roll into the mix, not to mention copyright laws and so on are a lot more involved here in America. Legality issues kill a lot of shows and basically its a big huge web of red tape and profit. Confusing, but them's the breaks.

Most people wouldn't want to read subs and actually not all dubs are awful. Ergo proxy has really amazing dubs in several languages. As for big television, truth be told most people consider cartoons to either be for young children or be comedies like The Simpsons or Family Guy. I doubt that an anime would get high rqatings if broadcast on mainstream television. That's one of the huge cultral differences.
