I've been thinking of epithets for the members, current and former, of the Mystic Council:

-Sirberius: Savior of Twilight
-Youichi: The Procurator
-Larac: The Diviner
-Dante: The Subjugator
-Noe: The Vindicator
-Vode: Eye of Corruption
-Akirael/Kira: The Machinator
-Rubi: The Diva
-Mewt: The Human God*
-Tiolee: God of Death
-Dmitri: Omnipresent Coordiantor
-Tenkai: Hero of the Crusading Tides

This is in no specific order. If you have any questions why I gave a certain member which epithet, just ask. If you think you have a better suggestion (*like how Mewt's was originally "The Marauder" but he told me he thinks that "The Human God" would fit better) than what is provided, let me know.

Article in The Essential Guide to Magyk ~ Chronos Academy Edition by Magnus Nightstriker and L. Rick Edwards.

Classification of Magic-users
Throughout the ages, there have been many misunderstanding of what magic-users are. This chapter will focus on the classifications of magic-users and what they can do.
The most common species to use magic, and the most confusing, are humans. Unlike other species that naturally can connect with the flow of magic, humans are a strange case. They have different classes for themselves. They include the following: wizard/witch, spellcaster, magician, alchemist, elementalist, prophet, and necromancer.

Wizard/Witch
Wizards and witches are humans able to preform wizardry or witchcraft, which is the art of using magic without verbal commands. Most wizards and witches require the aide of a wand to preform magic however. Usually, to prevent an enemy from taking their wand away, wizards and witches will their wands surgically implanted into their bodies.
There is an exception to the wand rule. Years ago, a Clockwise Earl from the Unity Empire named Natzi Stark found a way for wizards/witches to use magic without requiring the aide of wands or verbal commands. Such information was kept within his family so only the Stark family has been able to use this technique. There are rumors that Natzi's Wand remains only as an heirloom these days.

Spellcaster
Spellcasters are humans able to preform magic with the assistance of verbal commands, or "spell", hence the name Spellcasters. However, Spellcasters in the Human society is not as common as the others. Other species have adapted to the use of spells since their native resonance to magic is not that strong.

Magician
Contrary to popular belief, magicians do not use magic. Magicians are the terms used for con artists who either fake magic or have an assistant do the magic for them. Some species that have the ability to use magic sometimes guise as humans and work as magicians.

Alchemist
Alchemists (as talked about in the previous chapter) are humans who are able to use the art of alchemy, a branch of magic. They follow the Law of Equivilancy, which states that matter cannot be created or destroyed like the Law of Constancy, but rather change matter into another form.

Elementalist
Elementalists (as talked about in the previous chapter) are humans who are able to use the art of elementalism. They follow the Law of Constancy. Normally, an elementalist can only tap into one of the following: pyromancy, aquamancy, geomancy, terramancy, electromancy, and shadomancy. The only recorded bloodline able to master all elements is the Vahari family.

Prophet
Prophets are beings, not necessarily human, able to see glimpses of the future. In many wars, prophets were used as tacticians and strategists. However, after the Unification War led by the Unity Empire's Emperor St. Salvado Thoma, prophets were deemed 'monsters' and hunted down by hunters and profiteers. During this time, many prophets seeked sanctuary with the Black Circle.
Not all prophets were originally prophets. A study by Elder God L'rac'magi proved that there were rare cases called Rift Shift in which a being obtains the ability to see into the future. The most famous case studies are Hugh Ellis-Darling and L'rac Aledan.

Necromancer
Necromancy is one of the Six Forbidden Arts. It was banned years ago by an unnamed Vahashi. Today, very few people still practice the art of necromancy.
Necromancy is the art of resurrecting the dead, or summoning demons or familiars. Many have tried to use necromancy to bring back a loved one only to discover the resurrected person brain dead. The problem with necromancy is that it only summons the body of one once dead, giving the corpse no mind or soul. It is rumored that Demon Lord Draethius, the center figure around the cult Fallen Order, found a way to successfully resurrect the dead but no such solid fact has been recorded.

Also, everyone except Dmitri has like an epic title. Could he have the title "World's Ringmaster"? Or something else more epic sounding?

Article in The Essential Guide to Magyk ~ Chronos Academy Edition by Magnus Nightstriker* and L. Rick Edwards**.

Alchemy vs. Elementalism
What is the difference between alchemists and elementalists? Well, alchemists change elements and use the Law of Equivilancy while elementalists create elements and use the Law of Constancy.

What is the Law of Equivilancy?
The Law of Equivilancy is the rule that alchemists' powers abide by. The Law of Equivilancy states that matter cannot not be created and that alchemy can only change one substance into another like the classical lead to gold case. To see more, go to page 59.

What is the Law of Constancy?
The Law of Constancy is the rule that elementalists' powers abide by. This was discovered by the alchemic family the House of Constancy. They discovered that elementalists can create elements but there is a limit of how much of an element can be create at a time. To see more, go to page 63.

* Magnus Nightstriker is the father of Youichi and the former Headmaster of Chronos Academy. Two years before the Great God War started, Magnus had a heart attack and died.

** L. Rick Edwards is a famous alchemists who went missing during The Great God War; he is believed to have been killed at the Massacre of Besaid, where he had been living until the war.

Mewt during the Great God War

After training with the prophet Nyon Zenger, Mewt hunted down Meyr, the murderer of his parents, Mehru & Medea. After fighting and killing him, Mewt was congradulatedby the Elder Gods and consecrated. After becoming a God, he returned to Nyon's temple and trained with his new abilities. After around four years of straight training, he was called into service by the Elders.

During his service, Him, Cardovia, and Darmaida caused the first battle of Dry Man. Arriving as Dmitri, Matthau, and Zel leaves. After being greeted by Seithreen, he(Seith.) began taunting Darmaida into grabbing him by the throat. Tsarfardeia asks her to release him but she refuses. She then asks Seithreen if he's the new Grindell, and he says that he's better then Grindell. Darmaida denies this, saying he's filth just as Grindell was. She finishes by hitting Seithreen and Tsarfardeia and sending them through the air. Seith informed her that it was a very stupid thing to do, but she further belittled him and the hybreed, which caused an explosion of chaos. After twenty minutes, the fighting stopped with would be death blows. Taking this chance, Darmaida offered Seithreen godhood so he could be "purified" of his hybrid self. He denies and she pulses her power once through the air and kills the aforementioned handful. Seithreen laughs off the fatalness of an Elder's full power and attacks one last time. He died midways.Tsarfardeia managed to escape & Cardovia is sent after him. Darmaida then orders Mewt to help Duun & Ryko with the invasion in Zelcova. Upon arrival, Mewt spots Ryko terrorizing some helpless hybrids. He tells Mewt to 'join the fun' and kill the hybrids without mercy. Mewt asks 'why?' and Ryko explains by belittling the hybrids. Not agreeing, Mewt kills him with repeated stabs to the back. Mewt then sets off to find Duun. On his way, Mewt finds a child(Grimm Degas) whose parents were killedin the invasion. After finding a hiding place for him, Mewt finds Duun. Duun reveals that he only follows the Elders for hir own gain. Beleiving that he's on the wrong side, he agrees to help Mewt. Around this time, Sirb gains power from Dreathius. Mewt goes to check it out but it dissapears halfway their. Mewt arrives to a hoorric scene of bodies littering the ground with missing limbs, heads, others were ripped in half, etc.

After continueing around town, helping hybrids and killing some of the fellow gods, he leaves for Tyruna in hopes of lessening any damage that Izen may have caused already. He arrives to see Izen taunting and toying with the hybrid towns folk. After taking out a handfull, a hybrid within the crowd begins questioning Izen about his reasons. After getting fed up with answering the questions, Izen asks who is questioning him. The crowd parts and Tenkai reveals himself. Tenkai goes for an attack but Mewt is knocked aside before it connects. The attacker introduces himself as Tempisius and accuses Mewt of being a traitor. They then begin their fight. In the beginning, Temp toys with Mewt by using gorrila tactics. After a while, he summons six shadow figures which disposes of easily. Next, Tempisius becomes a golem-like-beast, made of pure shadow. After on hell of a fight later, he's defeated and reverts to his original form. Mewt decides to spare him and show mercy, but Daraida arrives and demands that Mewt kills him. He refuses and tells her to do it herself. She threatens him but he taunts her in return. Pissed, she makes the unconcious Tempisius rise and fight Mewt in an attempt to make Mewt kill him. Seeing that it wasnt working, she makes Temp kill himself with Mewt's sword.

Feeling guilt and anger, Mewt threatens to take her life as well. During the fight, she repeatedly uses her advanced speed to attack Mewt. They also talk about various events. She informs Mewt that that the Holy Lord gave no such order to kill the hybrids, that it was all a lie.Mewt also learns the secrets of his unique blood, and that most of his life had been planned out. She tells him that he was simply an experiment, not a mistake, to test the blood of a pure human. Her and Izen created the varibles that would test and cause Mewt to become an unstoppable force. One of these varibles was the summoning of Meyr to kill his parents. They were the ones that nudged him in the direction that they wanted him to go in. This angered him further. He threatens her but she laughs it off. Mewt then gathers what energy he can and speeds up to a fraction of he speed. Since this caused her to be seen more clearly, he got behind her and knocked her to the ground with a punch and two knees the face. Mewt beats her a little more before deciding to finishing her. He then decides to not kill her painlessly. He then renders two daggers and stabs in the palm of each hand. He taunts her as he does so. He renders two more daggers and throws them into each of her legs. Resulting in her being pinned to the spot where she laid. He then beheaded her. He then sees Tenkai with his 'others' fighting Izen. Mewt then leaves to retrieve the child in Zelcova and takes him to Nyon's temple.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A Brief summary of Prophets- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - -Prophets, a proud and notable race of the past, are much like the Dragons of today's age. Like Wizards they begin in a human form, but inside lurks fuel of divinity that only Prophets can ignite. Sure most of the Prophet's in the past looks human, and their community is no different from any other Human society, but biologically Humans they are not. The average Prophet lifespan were 120 years.

- - - - - - - - - - - - -Prophet's have the ability to foresee and slither or swift through the modes of possibilities with great accuracy. Unlike the normal cognitive function of prediction in our minds, Prophet's can sense the Divine element that is present all around us. The Divine is a unconscious gear, omnipotent and omniscient, that works like clockwork. Only a few Mystics can sense this omnipotent and omniscient force, a majority of them are often Gods, but very few can often use it or control it. To Prophet's The Divine is like water is to fish; it's a part of life for them. The Divine often looks like light-to unfamiliar eyes-but though it is bright and blinding it is not light; and I don't know what's the perfect word to explain what The Divine's physical appearance is but it is there; as your hands grip the scabbard of your sword, as you move your pawns in chest, and even as you listen to the music of bards and maidens. To normal Mystics it may just be nothing, but to Prophet's it's like tide of effects; malicious actions or saintly, Prophet's at most can predict moves.

- - - - - - - - - - - - -The Divine Light is secreted through black skin pores-tattoos as it may look sometimes-of Prophets and is the cause for giving beyond God-like calculations to individuals who are Prophets or Prophet Hybrids. Black scars, black spots, and black inked tattoos are unique characteristics found in Prophets. These Divine Marks are bonds of the Prophet and the Divine Element. The marks can be attained through a multitude of rituals or accidents. Accidents because in rituals Prophets performs their prophetic abilities, and spies or just random onlookers become infected with a spiritual force if they ever witness the Light. A multitude of things will happen upon witness; they either die from the force, lose their memory or sense of self, lose to insanity, lose the sense of space and time, or become Prophets themselves marked with bond(and other's more that I have failed to document).

- - - - - - - - - - - - -Now it may have crossed your minds, if they are able to predict the future and are capable of power and might, where are they now? sadly Prophet's have been reduced from millions to only tens of thousands. And their clans and families have dissolved long ago and is unlikely to be revived.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A Brief Hstory of Prophets- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - -Long before Angels and Gods dominated-invaded and racially cleansed[genocide]-the continent Corradine, Prophet's lived in large tribal villages in the continent; most egalitarian hunters and gatherers. Prophets didn't have large military forces like the Gods during that time, nor did they ever think of needing one. They lived ritualistically on supporting each other, and tapping into the Divine. There were seven tribes for Prophet's to be raised into: The Ku'ilkens'savens(the tribe that lived at the edge of Corradine; on beaches. Masters of bone, sand, and stone Divinity), The Fe'hrii'fhuuris(the tribe that mastered Divine seeking[or surfing] using the mind; and a population that indulged in forest mushrooms and herbs), The Toh'erchit(The tribe that lives on sea, far from the beach. They used the sun, the corals, the water's waves, and fish movements to foresee the future), The Ahk'strr'ln(The meditative and idle tribe that lives in the center of the continent), The Fe'hrii'thatcherian(the tribe that prided itself in building colossal idol's and architecture using stone; unlike other tribes the Fe'hrii'thatcherian didn't master divinity but they did record Divine events of the far future[which is wiped out today]on their idol's and homes), The Indigo's[formless creatures that have attained familial and honorable bonds with the prophets](the strangest of all tribes were the Indigo's, because they had a humanoid form but lacked the human body. Their skins were dark indigo, they lacked eyes, mouths, ears, and noses. They still do feed, curiously enough, in the place where mouths should be. Their Divine mastery were the same with the Fe'hrii'fhuuris), and The Ahk'shrouaihm(the tribe that mastered Divinity through sleep).
- - - - - - - - - - - - -[Even though there were many Prophets during that time, it should be pointed out that there were other Mystics that lived in communities at the continent Corradine. I will not name those other Mystic Races for the reason that this is a summary of Prophets. And as a small historical note some of the native Mystics regarded the Prophets as lazy savages, though this is untrue due to the fact that a lot of prophet's were also historians in the tribe; also the The Fe'hrii'thatcherian offered great insights on architecture and idol carving].
- - - - - - - - - - - - -The lives of Prophet's changed upon colonizations of Gods and Angels. At first the Prophet's were dumbfounded as to what to do with the visitors. Some of the tribes welcomed the powerful Mystics-The Indigo's did not even have the slightest care for the Gods-but a minority(tribes: Ahk'shrouaihm and Fe'hrii'fhuuris) felt an oncoming disaster of apocalyptic proportions. The Gods offered gifts from their realm to the Prophet tribes(and to other native Mystics), and it was intended with no ill at all. Corradine lived peacefully with it's native inhabitants and visitors for two hundred and thirty years. All those years of peace were destroyed for a number of reasons.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -The natives of Corradine, aside from the Prophets, were slowly being deprived of sentient qualities that was obviously present. More and more of them slowly felt the tension of being excluded from natural resources that was rightfully theirs. The Prophet's on the other hand felt a different exclusion which was lands were slowly being taken away from them; for the Prophet's didn't have the ideology of property on the past. Natives that couldn't live with the thievery rebelled against the Gods' developing social and economic structure received extreme retaliation; for others the answer they have were but only to move to the neighboring continent Drejd-Ark[which was also a home to Prophets]. The tension only worsened when it was discovered that a native Clan of Corradine-Agrippers(a mild form of Demon which had gray colored skins and humanoid appearance)-were of Death Dimension(infernal, hellish, infernal)descent. The Agrippers were forced to choose between death or exile from their home continent; historical records has evidence that the Agrippers were hoping to fight IF the Prophets would participate, but the Prophets did not feel the same passion as the Agrippers. In the end the Agrippers were wiped out for the reasons that they have plotted to murder a large number of Gods[though this was highly unlikely for Agrippers, are not only mild form of Demon, but lacked the force to gain military superiority].
- - - - - - - - - - - - -The extermination of the Agrippers were damning to the conscious of the Prophet's. Some of the tribesman were welcomed in the community of the Gods, and some were even enjoying the luxury and culture, but even with the pleasures Prophets, along with native clans of a different Races(forest dwelling Nymphs, majestic Bird-like Mystics, and Nature Spirits)and Clans(Draconics, Beach dwelling Elementalists and the first generation of Angelic migrants) felt being boxed in and controlled by the society of the Gods. Only later than thirty years shall another tension arose, and would be a waking of a bloody civil war.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -The Indigo's were the next target of the Gods pride for purity and superiority , and by a few years it was clear that the Gods despised the odd looking Prophets(the ones that did not join in the Gods' festive society). The Indigo's secluded themselves-but on occasions welcomed other Prophet tribes-and continued to practice their age old ritual of Divinity; which led the idea that they-the Indigo's- despised the migrant's society. A young military officer(who was Descendants of a Prophet from the Fe'hrii'thatcherian tribe), Prophet Nayad Zenger, was the seed that started the whole Corradine Civil war. During his time as a soldier he had found a schema, a variety of documents, to exterminate the whole Indigo tribe without any repercussions from other Prophet tribes and Corradine native clansmen. At first he complained to officials about the unjustifiable engineering of genocide of a tribe, but to his astonishment the Elder Gods didn't find anything wrong with the genocide of the Indigo tribe. It had seem that for the past few years rumors that the isolated tribe were some sort of Demon worshiping sect, and this unsupported rumor roamed around the higher echelons of the society; and even some Prophets who had enjoyed the luxury have heard of the rumor. The Indigo's looks and attitude also added to the prejudice.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -A civil war broke loose as rebels(led by Prophets and Elementals;including also the young Prophet Nayad Zenger)fought for their native rights as owners of the land; and also in order to stop the abuse of the Gods. This was the first time that Prophets had to use their Divinity to aid a war of epic proportions-in the past there were also tribal wars but only for the sole reason of misunderstandings and fights for resources. It was hard though on using their abilities as both sides have adept Prophets[more in-depth discussions on the civil war: Corradine First Civil War].
- - - - - - - - - - - - -In the end the rebel lost for the Gods were very much capable of mass extermination; although the total annihilation of the Indigo tribe was unsuccessful. As centuries passed peace slowly looms, and an awkward silence of betrayal from the older[first] generations of Angels and Gods, creeps in the forests of Corradine. At this time in history it was obvious that in order for the tribe to thrive they would have to submit to the Gods, and at best lay low in peace with the mighty Gods. And in this age was the most bizarre outbreak ever recorded in Corradine, the population of the Prophets gradually declined. The cause for this depression of [prophet] population was unknown but, even though with the Gods' previous crime of almost [successfully] extinguishing local tribes of Corradine, it was clear that they [the Gods] have done a great deal to do what they can to help the Prophets that have lived in their community; a large number of Atlantis' greatest curers were also called upon to fight the epidemic of loses. Most [prophet]families were reduced to having a single child; the families became disinterested in increasing their family circle. And a majority of the then generation (Post Corradine Civil War) Prophets became bachelors and bachellorettes; in this era a tsunami of literature that concerned itself with Magickry, Seals, Conjuring, and Divination-the Prophets expertise-flooded the intellectual arena and became of great significance to the Gods. But though the Gods were being showered by great books the speed of population decline of the Prophets never ceased. And at the end of that great age no Prophets have survived in Corradine, but Prophets never became extinct; only in Corradine did Prophets expire. All the continents (except Corradine) have Prophets, and Prophets that have gathered in cohort or tribes, and they have thrived creating divine hybrids and teaching spells that have been impossible to teach without the guiding intellect of a Prophet.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -[Books regarded as most influential authored by Prophets: The eyes of Divine Traveling(A book using divine revelation as a means of travelling realms-a sort of Pseudo-travel); Summoning a Divine Indigo(A controversial book that proclaimed to conjure advises from Indigo Prophets that have symbiotically attached itself to the Divine); The Pinnacle of Divination(A extensive lecture from the top leading Prophet Magus of that time, Prophet Mal'Dvor of the Tribe Ahk'strr'ln, concerning the mastery of Divination through meditation. It was criticized as bias for no God could achieve it's mastery); The Ice King: The God of winter and Ice(A pamphlet that predicted exactly the actions of a God that would be lead to corruption and treason for allegiance to Demon Lords of the Death Dimension; it was used as evidence to imprison the God and execution. The Ice was a metaphor for crystal and winter for sea to pin point the alleged Gods)]

In curiousity, what special powers does an Elder God have b/c in my mind I've been just believing them to be just the leaders of Atlantis; basically Elder God is just a title. any remarks? I think having it that way may simplify many of our problems concerning the elder gods

When i first though up the idea of the Elder Gods(its the one i still use), i seen them as being drasticaly more powerful then a god. So much power that when fully unleashed, it would kill every thing in the immediate area. A god, in god form, will just make those around them pass out. Kinda like in Bleach with the captains. But, with Ppleno being an elder getting killed from a single bullet to the head proved that they were not as immortal as i invisioned them to be.
