Lately I've noticed that many threads which seem similar to older threads have NON-MODS who say things like

Duplicate thread

WHO ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION? If the mods are fine with it, why should you, someone insignificant on this site have a problem with the thread?

I have even seen such people calling themselves mini-mods. Please be aware that although the mods definitely appreciate your help, I personally do not think that it is very helpful.

It wastes spaces on the thread, looks damn stupid, and makes you look even more stupid.

Relax people( Yeah, I know, I'm a bit tensed up myself) , so what if it's a vs thread? The vs combo may not have been present before! In that sense, the thread is neither a duplicate nor is it redundant.

I also have an issue with people who report a thread just because it's of a certaiNARUTO anime and people get so upset over that certaiNARUTO thread.

No more naruto threads.

Yet another example E.g:

Though these posts may prove to be amusing, they just get plain annoying, especially when they're everywhere!

Conclusion: No one needs you "mini-mods".

So? If someone broke the rules what's wrong with telling them so? If a thread is a duplicate, I think it's better that someone tell so and link to the original and before existing thread, than having people continuing to post in the duplicate.

Unless it is a really good and original one that really contributes to the community, but honestly, what are the odds for that?

How do you know mods are fine with a thread before they have posted in it or locked it?
Just because you create a thread doesn't mean the moderators go all:

- OH man got to check this one out! Maybe it's something cool!
"Yeah totally!"

The moderators are humans just like me and you. It's good that someone says "Reported" or "Duplicate" in a thread that is a duplicate or breaks the forum rules in any way. This way people know that it has already been reported and they don't need to report (NOTE: Moderators won't close a thread faster or similar reaction just because there are like 10+ reports of it - One report is enough, it has even been stated so in one of the 'forum rules' or 'make the forums a better place' threads.)

So shoo with your silly ideas.

bitch and whine about mini mods here.

Mini mods or Wana be mods

btw your conclusion is bullshit. The mods miss alot of duplicates sometimes, plus the people who report actually help the mods out and make their jobs easier then them having to troll around looking for every link themselves.

I agree and disagree with you.

some of you guys piss me off.

Not every person who posts a duplicate deserves to be insulted, and if you see someone linking a duplicate or putting a rule in the thread then that's it. leave the thread alone, report it if you want but there is not need to fill page after page to point out a rule or a mistake, especially with that negative attitude

btw the ones who post those 'you fail/phail' pictures over and over again should stop because doing what they are doing is a failure in itself. Walking oxymorons.

On the other hand, the threads in the front page rotate pretty fast, and we miss a lot of threads so your help is appreciated. The attitude of some of you, not that much. Keep that to yourselves

There is a report button for a reason, report if you wish to help but no need to post on the thread

if a person already said ~reported then leave the thread alone!
