It's not disrespectful to the dead. The previous "owners" of the cadavers donated their bodies. If it was their choice how is disrespectful?

yeah thats what everybody thought, until they investigated . wondering how it was possible that soooooooo many chinese people donated their bodies for science, when chinese people have a very sacred burial ritual and strong sense of spirituality . they have clearly stated that those bodies are unclaimed bodies in china, and so is up for grabs .

"Dalian Medical University receives the bodies from the government, Glover said. That's because when a person dies in China and there's no one to claim the remains, the government allows the body to be used for medical study."

those people did not sign any piece of paper stating they wanted to be put on display .

hey, i saw it at OMSI too!
it was for an Anatomy & Physiology class field trip

when i went, i overheard somebody say
"that body must've belonged to an asian" because they were looking at the eyes

people these days...

but i thought the exhibit was very fascinating

I went when it was in Holland, loved it, but it was rather plain (I wanted it to be more bloody).

At the entrance a lot of people where standing there against it..

I loved the Arteries best too.

Saw Bodyworks at the Science Museum of Minnesota last summer(?). It was really cool, but the best part has got to be the babies. (Well, to me anyways.) And the awesome thing was, I got to see it for free!!

EDIT: Saw it in December 2006, right before the exhibit was over. LOL
