Introduce yourself

Yeah so I was looking at the member count, and I was like DUDE! when did it get over 100?!?!

I know I've been pretty out of it because of studying and all, but whoah! So many new people! That's awesome.

Anyhoo, I figured I'd start an introduce yourself thread. To make it more interesting I added a little twist.

1. Real name (a.k.a the one you should have been called)

2. What got you started on skip beat, why you like it, et cetra, et cetra

3. Random nonsensical trivia that seems useless until it saves you from the really awkward conversations.

2. After I finished Hana-kimi a friend recommended it. I was instantly hooked! Guess I feel like I can identify with the main character.

3. Banana's are really a category of there own. Technically it is not a fruit, nor a vegetable, but a herb. It's closest genetic relatives are berries, but it is also closely related to the lily and orchid. According the the Oxford English Dictionary, a banana is in fact a spice. There has been much debate between officials as to whether to reclassify it, but I wouldn't count on it anytime soon...

2. Well, I was looking for a manga on onemanga.com and I came across it. Must be fate? And no, I don't like it, I love it Hmm, I love it because of the characters, storyline, art, pretty much everything! Also, I think Kyoko is one of the best heroines I have come across in anime and manga. Every single chapter so far has made me laugh out loud, and after re-reading the books many times, it still makes me laugh and smile.
3. Hmmm, well the banana triva is pretty damn amazing, is that for real? Freakin' crazy. Well as for my random triva thing, I have none, exept for the trivial knowledge I have just obtained from reading DeathofRats intro. MMM, I've got to say, you've done your research. That'll save me an awkward conversation or two x]

1. Carson (My real name and what I'm called mostly since you really can't get too many nickname's out of Carson...)
2. I just randomly came across it at anime-eden and thought 'well this looks interesting' and I instantly fell in love with it. The characters are just too darn lovable. Also Kyoko really isn't like any other character I've ever come across before, she makes me smile.
3. Um, let's see. I read this in a book called the book of general ignorance (such a interesting book) The loudest creatures in the ocean are shrimp. Actually shrimp are louder then jet planes but it's like so high pitched we can't hear it, or something like that. And if we could hear them, our eardrums would break. That's the only thing I remember from that book.....

wow... shrimp? Seriously?! I would never have guessed. I thought it would be a whale or something. Thats kinda cool actually.

2. Mmmm.... wow... whenever the first vol was released. I read the first chapter in one of the first issues of shoujo beat that I bought... thought it was interesting.... bought the 1st vol... and FELL IN LOVE <3 <3 <3 Even though I read it online, I also buy the manga once its released.. (i cant find vol 11, tho... )

3. Hhhmm..... You know... i really love York peppermint patties... they are sooo yummy <3 Best chocolate ever!! =]

3. you know what I like ? BOTTONS , you know why ? Because they are HOT to undo! yeah, and PLUS there's MANY colors and forms!!! there's the small brown ones and the big Gold ones , and the midium green and Red ones and then there's the SUPER MINI white ones and then...*keeps on rambling about it for like 10 hours* ... Yeah ^^ I like bottons ^^ :] hee hee

2. I was searching for manga in Onemanga, then I saw the title Skip Beat! It seem kind of a weird title so I decided to check it!! However, i ended up liking it tooooo muchh!! Its such a dramatic, funny and romantic manga! Basically it has everything that you want to read!

3. favorite food is Ice Cream but only vanilla!! I like to talk to people that are funny! The best character in Skip Beat is Ren and Kyoko!! I would love to have Kyoko's personality!! Hahaha!!

whoopsy..i got a little over zealous......and for got to introduce my self.....im Cat.....and im asian...but im from laos..a pretty obscure little country..ha ha ha!, u probably wount be able to lacate it on a map!, ha ha ha ha ha!....oh..i got off topic..anyway...i absolutely adore, skipbeat the manga, it is probably one of the most amazing drawn, and plotted manga i have ever read....and i want it to be read by everyone, so that they can enjoyit too!, so i thank you soooo much, for this uber awesome Sukippu Biito! group!!!!!!!!!!! yeeeeeeee!..oh..if u wanna be my friend, go to my pagey thing!

2- One of my friends introduced me to the manga and said I'd love it.....she was absolutely correct Kyoko is probably one of, it not the best girl character I've come across in ages of looking at manga & anime- for me she is completely different from all the other types of sterio-typical girls i've seen. skip beat is also just an awesome manga in itself!!
3. I sometimes have an 'inner personality' that reminds me of a mix of Edward (FMA), Sakura (Naruto), Kaname (FMP) when i get mad---- its creepy, but i guess that's what comes out of being attached to anime/manga so much

lol. Hey! I can locate Laos on a map ... but I will admit that only because I work with Laotians... anyhoo... know you're not alone in being from an obscure country. I work in california, but I'm originally from south africa, which to most of my colleagues amazement is an actual "country", not just the "south of africa". The running joke is that much to their surprise, I'm white. ( morons) Seriously, the first thing they said to me when I told them where I was from was "There are white people living in africa?" I couldn't stop cracking up. In my mind I was like "yeah stupid, there've been white people living africa just as long as there've been white people living in america." I mean of all cultural misconceptions that I've heard about, I think that one takes the cake.

Oh.. My dad's South African.. I stole his e-mail address in third grade and have since been using Tegweni as a screen name etc. Ha ha.
In primary school one of the girls wouldn't believe that my dad is white and said it wasn't possible for him not to be black.

1. Courtney. It's a terrible name but it's what I was called, if I was called something else it would weird me out, nicknames like Carlos are fine though.

2. Tammy got me hooked and I now want to kill her because I hate waiting for series I like. -.-"

3. You can find alot of that on the back of libra sanitary pads? Ha ha ha, however bringing up where it's from might make the convosation more awkward at which point to make it even more it's best to point out the obvious.
