I would love to see some Tai Chi in anime..
But not the Tai Chi medication and healing style.. But the Tai Chi fighting style as in using your opponent to attack himself/herself and using your own flow of Chi to attack others.

Never really saw the offensive side of Tai Chi in anime or in any movie at all actually. Except for the (awesome) movie The Tai Chi Master.

Offensive Tai Chi is friggin' EPIC!

well it's not really an anime, but Avatar the last aribender use tai chi like movements to bend water

Actually, they used that in Tenjou Tenge, (or said they did, anyway.) The black guy, whose name I've forgotten, who does all the spinning on his head stuff.

Edit: @Bluefox: Aren't ALL combat styles SUPPOSED to do the job quickly and efficiently? I hate movies (Ultraviolet comes to mind) where they treat it more like a dance, and do things like intentionally turn their backs on each other. The "poetic" nature of fighting should, in my mind, only come when two people are fighting as hard as they can, and genuinely trying to block. (Jet Li's Fearless, for example)
Also, I can think of a few animes that could do well with shorter and more concise fighting. Especially those where it's not the main focus of the anime (like a Bourne-esque anime)

What about Mui Tai. It's a dangerous fighting style and i've never seen anyone do it before i anime. I reckon it's a good style because of it's hard kicks.

There are not really many animes that have any fighting styles it is just a bunch of people swinging their fists and feet all over the place same goes for sword styles.
