Forced tutorials.
The amazing audacity of game makers that think gamers just have to torment themselves for dozens of minutes just to learn how to click never seizes to amaze me.
Could be though the fact I have been a gamer arround 18 years talking here, but anything related to on game instructions just start to tick me off big time all that stuff seems always clear as day to me.

The one in Arcadia was a pain, and this one's even worse since there are splicers frickin' everywhere...

Lol, such a lovely hate filled thread on the downfalls of various games.
My pet peeves have mostly been listed, but I didn't see a few of them. IE: Exploiters, hackers, KSers, etc, the typical griefers of online play.
Didn't see those goddamn resellers listed though, the ones buy all of an item, price jack them, and resell at over 10X previous cost. I mean really.... It's not hard for a max cost to be assigned to an item in an MMO. Why the hell am I paying hundreds of millions of in-game gold for an item that is required to play the game....

I hate rooms with extremely poor lighting (*cough*Dante's Inferno).
don't get me wrong, i love the creepy vibe it brings, but when it makes me unable to see the massive hole in the floor that I end up walking into... >:C messing with the contrast and gamma makes me feel like a cheater or a poor player. >__>;
I also hate few and far between items that replenish your health. You end up with only a quarter of your health left from hacking away at enemies and then- SURPRISE! major boss ahead with no chance of healing. (MGS4 lol.)

Long unskippable cutscenes before a really hard boss fight. so if you get beat you get to spend the next 10-20 minutes watching that stupid cutscene AGAIN
