oh really then i might as well start learning how to catch it. not literally but you can deflect it with your hand as long as you have the right tools and training.

Jitte were used for just such a thing. Very versatile weapons.

A strategist like Takeda Shingen in his time. Because then the most important thing was not brute force but stategies and plans. Tricking your opponent. Human chess-like.

haha! I have to deal with those too. if its not to troubling i'd make this book my next book report candidate for next year if I need it. teachers now-a-days don't expect you to write book reports on stuff like harry potter unless it pertains to the subject.

I was talking about book reports and it came up. I used it as an example. I was basically saying that the teachers don't expect you to write book reports on stories that are just for entertainment and not much learning. You look a bit confused.

I'd like to be a Mongol or a Turkic warrior. Nomadic warfare dominated the ancient battlefield

I can only narrow it down to 2.Samurai and Shinobi.Even that is pushing it.The honor of the samurai aswell as the approach taken to me makes them one of the ultimate classes. The loyalty shown for their retainer to the death. The idea that you must go in headlong. The Hagakure states that even if a Samurai's head is severed from his body he should be able to complete on final act. This type of resolve combined with their code makes my choice. I can think about this no nonger.I gave myself 24 hours. This is my decision.

I want to be an archer as well...but i'm clueless on archers ... O_O However, I'd like to be warrior who is able to perform well both with the bow and the sword. That is possible right? just that it will take quite a long time for me to master

The Samurai did things of such in their ways, as did many.
THERE IS NO MASTERING.
We are all students and always learning.
I just learned some things of such in the forum: What IS a Katana.
