not really, American Police still use Crown Victoria and they had fixed that problem...probably. Oh, and arn't most of the passengers in cop cars criminals? And if their killed, isn't it a good thing?
No, the gas tank was located in the front of the car, which meant the driver and side passanger were killed.. such as in car chases and stuff like that. They actually only recently changed this problem due to the fact that recalling their whole assembly line cost to much and they have already had to downsize their factory workers so much. In alot of provinces/states in North America cops have actually switched to dodge charger SRT8 because they are cheaper, faste, heavier and less like to get the officer killed on a frontal collison. Also, its more commonly driven than those Crown Vics which you would usually only see police officers, under cover units, RCMP and other law enforcement types driving.
