should the Pledge of Allegiance be banned from government related things in usa?.. i mean... according to the first ammendment it said

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
does that not pretty much show that the religion and the government are seperated?... yet in the pledge of allegiance (which i have to say everyday back in my elementary school days...) said

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
.....

so im just wonderin... why do we say the pledge of allegiance and yet not ban it since it definitly deny the existance of the first amendment...

Dude this country was founded by fucking Christians and thats why everything has God in it. People need to stop being gay and just realize that they're living in a country of freedom founded by Christians and they should just be happy to be here and not complain about shit. No one forces anyone to do shit. Stupid fuck don't have anything better to do.

There you go...that's it in the nutshell. If you don't want to hear someone say the pledge of allegiance, then please stick your fingers into your ears or leave the room until it has been said; then resume your normal routine.

Everyone stop whining about it. I'm Atheist, and I still say the God part in the pledge. If you don't want to say God in it, just skip the "under God" part.

Also, the phrase "under God" was religious, but now its more of a metaphor because of the separation of Church and State.

People also need to realize that despite the country being founded by Christians, the constitution was written to encompass people of all religions, not just Christianity.

I'm not an atheist, but I do feel that the "under God" bit should be removed.

I simply find the "under God" statement to be unnecessary - nothing more, nothing less. If I was given a choice to have it removed, I would. But since I don't have that choice, it's not that big of a deal whether it stays in the pledge or not. It's not something one should lose sleep over.

here's any easy fix, instead of "under God" say "created under God" it's indisputable.

ha i don't even stand for the pledge and most of my class don't
unless i'm like forced to
i hate it when teachers make you stand
the law says we have the right to sit as long as we don't bother the ppl doing it.
sometimes i think teachers are really stupid
