what a dumb question. i think everyone, who complains about FF7 and about the FF7-fans simply played the game long after it released. right after its release - for me - it was just an amazing game becouse of its unknown fantasyworld (not just the boring ordinary european medieval fantasy) and interesting storyline.
It is the first RPG I ever played and I really enjoed this game. well.. after playing the other FinalFantasy games and other good RPG that followed, of course you would say "FF7 is not so special". But why should you complain about all the ppl, who made good memories with FF7?

no offense or anything, but I personally don't like FF7. Or rather, I don't like FF series at all it was just never my thing. Or rather, I would've lked it if it weren't for over-obsessive "OMG LIKE FF7 ROX OMG <3"... I can tell you aren't one of THEM though.

i don't think you can answer this question. Every action has a consequence, so who knows what would happen if FF7 wasn't released?

No, it's one of my favorite rpg's and it's right up there with the classics like Final Fantasy VI.

Aww.. what a waste. Playing the FF-series is like waching an interaktiv video with good story. Where you have to beat some bad guys or solve riddles to see what happens next.

There are always some ppl who go overboard with "liking" somthing. i suggest to just ignore them

Yes, I think so. FF7 is NOT that great. Never played it, saw all the videos over at youtube. Who fucking cares about FF7? It's a pretty weak RPG game. I think it got so big only cuz it was a sci-fi RPG mostly. Homeworld, now that's a fucking great game. Go play that instead of crap like FF7.

well im not a big fan of FF, but i did enjoy FF 7 and 8 :3
and what's funny is, unlike other people, i dnt really like the nowadays FF.

here's why:
awesome graphics, but too much long and boring conversations, leading to a slow progression in story-line.

i'd rather do the old FF.. more actions and stuffs...

but anyway i love KH series in exchange XD!!

If there was no VII, everything square made after would've been different.
The whole RPG market would've been different too. That was the break through game.

I guess the fanboys do get annoying, yeah.
