Would the world be a better place without FF7?

I don't think you're getting my point and I didn't bother to even read the whole thing... because I understand what you are saying, but to people who are not gamers, they wouldn't even know about it. Like I said before, people who never heard of anything else of Final Fantasy only know Final Fantasy VII. People who do not appreciate games or even play games know at least Final Fantasy VII, that's all I'm saying.

Im just commenting on your "If final fantasy VII didn't happen, I don't think Final Fantasy would be as popular." statement since it was so effing wrong...

You're only thinking of its popularity to gamers, you're only thinking of that target market, I'm thinking of everyone, even to non-gamers

Well in my area, no one knows about other Final Fantasy series, besides VII, and they only know of the name Cloud. Other than that, they don't even know of the series before or after

No, so much would be lost without the inspiration of final fantasy VII. The concept of butt-kicking babes in an rpg would be lost.

Lol, I see what you mean... One guy in this forum said that the majority of the FFVII fans didn't even play the original game...

Exactly, most people don't play the other Final Fantasy games, which is sad, because the origional ones were really fun. Most people just skip to VII because of it's popularity/hype ne.

Yeah, many gamers first RPG experience was VII so I understand why it was/is hollowed so much... Im just pissed at VII since majority of its fans are quite ignorant and over reacting and also Square is milking it like crazy...

umm ff7 revived the ps franchise cause back then the snes was dominating till the producers at square took a last chance with ff7 and showed what square can do by combining great graphics and great story and if you dont believe this then the proof is the many games that spawned from ff7 ex dirge of cereberus, crisis core, after crisis which is only available in japan. not to mention great soundtracks.

Haha i totally understand, on many forums I see people saying that if they remade VII for the PS3, they'd buy the PS3 just for VII. That's so much money to sepnd just for one game!!!

Creating spin offs is a great way to milk fans their money...

I know, it was a great business strategy on square's part since many VII fans seems to buy anything related even to VII even if the quality is questionable, how dimwitted can you be? Many=/=good...

The only good purchase I got from Square this past few years were TWEWY, FFIII DS, FFIV DS and Star Ocean First Departure and Square didn't even developed those... Back in the past, Square cared for quality, now they only want your dough...
