Do you feel more comfortable talking to your parents about your life or your friends?

with friends

sharing it with my parents feels awkward.

I'd be more comfortable talking to nobody about my personal conflicts. I simply don't want to involve the good people in my life, and I don't see it necessary. Parents, or friends-- I'd rather not.

I keep it to myself. If it's something urgent like going to jail, I tell my parents. I think the only time I tell my friends things is when I have no one to look at or when it's not too major. Like love (*coughs* never happened) or friendship-controversial things. My parents are really biased when it comes to the environment, feelings, and society..etc...... I mean it- they are, but that doesn't mean I don't love them or tell them anything. I tell them lots of things that are not in the "you know what" criteria.

My Mum was the one who gave birth to me, brought me up, taught me to values and morals, taught me to drive, taught me to be the best and never be ashamed or put myself down, yeah I feel more comfortable telling her things I've noticed, I complain to my best mate about things but my Mum can read me like a book so I might aswell just tell her, hell she knows my deepest darkest secret ever, told her first thing because I trust her more than anyone.

I've noticed some people[not all] on here don't want to tell their parents because they're sooo scared they're gonna criticise them. Well I've got news for you, they do it because they care and don't want to making mistakes, your friends can sympathise with you and tell you the things you wanna hear, or your best friend can be honest, criticise you, tell you where you're going wrong and tell you to fix it.. Upset because they're blunt? be bloody gratful and stop being so sensitive because its going to make you stronger and wisen up, in the future you'll probably realise that. I'm not trying to be rude or horrible by the way so if you're offended or angry or even want to flame me, then please I insist PM me.

People take their parents for granted.

No. They don't give a fuck about my friends and problems but it's okay. It's mutual.

Defs keep it to myslef and probobly not even tell friends most of the time. I deal with things in my own time and keep the social life the norm without bringing anyone into it. If i need help however im sure that i would seek assisstance but there is no point in being a whiny little 6 yr old to your friends and complaining about stuff that no one could care about.
