umm sure.....

Recipe: Cream of mushroom soup

ingredients:

Half cup of butter
Quarter cup of flour
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 pound of mushrooms, finely chopped
1 pound of mushrooms, roughly chopped
4 cups chicken stock or broth
4 cups of light cream (half and half)
Quarter cup of fortified wine, such as sherry, port or madeira
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped or dried parsley and basil to taste.

preparation:

1. Melt butter in soup pot on medium low heat.

2. Add onions and salt. Saute onions until they are soft.

3. Add mushrooms, and cook for about 5 minutes.

4. Add flour in a bit at a time, stirring it in as you do to help prevent lumps.

5. Add broth a bit at a time, stirring as you do to prevent lumps. After enough broth has been added to make everything liquid, add the rest of the broth.

6. Bring to a boil, reduce to low heat and simmer for about 5 minutes or so. This will allow the flour to thicken the soup somewhat.

7. Add the cream, pepper, basil and parsley. Gently simmer the soup without boiling for about ten minutes to allow the flavors to mix completely.

8. Add the fortified wine, stir and serve.

Enjoy~

Hiie all i was reading the book called'The great Big Cookie Book" a few days ago and i saw a recipe that i think you guys will like^^ I tried to make it and it is nice so i think i will post it here so you all can also try making it^^

Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients
120ml/ 4fl oz/ 1/2 cup suunflower oil
150g/ 5oz plain chocolate,chopped
2 eggs
115g/ 4oz/ 1 cup self-raising flour
115g/ 4oz/ 1/2 cup caster sugar
5ml/ 1 tsp vanilla essence
75g/ 3oz/ 3/4 cup halved pecans[can be other nuts][optional]

Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/ 400°F/Gas 6.
2.Use a little of the oil to grease a 23 cm/9in square shallow cake tin and line with lightly oiled greaseproof paper.
(Cook's Tip~Ingredients can be melted easily in the microwave. To soften chocolate, butter, sugar or syrup, microwave on full power for a few minutes, until soft.)
3.Melt chocolate with the remaining oil in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of water, stirring until smooth.
4.Beat eggs lightly and add them to the chocolate, strring vigorously. Beat in the flour, sugar and vanilla essence and pour the mixture into the prepared tin.
[optional~Arrange the pecans[or other nuts] over the top]
5.Bake for 10-15 mins if you want/like chewy brownies. If you want a more cake-like finish, leave it in the oven for another 5 mins.
6.Cut into squares and leave to cool before removing from tin.

(You can put into the refrigerator if you want.)
(Best eaten on the day it is made.)
