so if they go bottoms up that means we get more anime here right?

Not really. The parent company still exists so they still have the rights. What they need is a distributor. They have some good titles but they also apparently have some duds which no one wants to take on.
I actually think the other companies are circling like sharks waiting for them to start selling off their titles so they can all jump on Hellsing

Actually as far as I know they have finished Fate/Stay Night so you're lucky.
I was going to start collecting Shonen Onmyouji but they only got up to Vol. 2 when all this happened

2007 wasn't a good year for anime. No one's to blame, but I think everyone who loves anime needs to be more responsible, both the companies and the fans:

I think the only ways fans will realize that they should give something back to the anime creators is if an anime studio actually goes out of business, less anime comes out of Japan, less cool new anime comes out of Japan (less innovation 'cause studios don't want to take a risk); these things could all happen. One thing I see growing is conventions, there are more fans than ever, but if things continue like this than the conventions will eventually downsize too 'cause less companies will be sponsoring them with cool stuff.

But hey, who cares? Many of today's young fans don't, because no matter how much the industry improves going forward, whether it's through cheap content-filled boxsets, more anime on T.V. and in theaters, more pay-to-play download to own anime that's cheap, more free licensed anime on the Internet streaming with ad-support, more quality/quantity ratio and variety for all demographics, and even quicker releases outside of Japan, they'll just stick with fansubs as long as they're around. Know why? 'Cause we're now in generation of fans that wants everything for free as soon as possible, and they'll make any excuse to keep doing so.

The anime companies in Japan are also at fault. The Japanese entertainment is conservative and they haven't done anything to change things besides blaming fans. Read the editorial I posted.
