So far, I have come across many individuals who are extremely passionate about Gundam Wing as I am. So my question is to other Gundam Wing fans is: should Gundam Wing be aired, and should the manga, along with the side stories be animated and aired with the series? Would it bring a lot of ratings, and would it be wise to do so?

I would love for the manga and the side stories to be animated and shown but i doubt it will be, since it is unlikley that they would get the ratings that they would get with bringing in a newer gundam

I couldn't really get into Gundam Seed, mostly because the lazy CGI animation got on my nerves. Personally, I think a good place to start with Gundam is The 8th MS Team. It's a concise, well-written series, and isn't quite as weird to the uninitiated as some other Gundam series, simply because it centers around small-squad ground combat. I also really like the Gundam Trilogy" re-build of the original TV series, though the somewhat dated animation might turn some people off.

On the other hand, Gundam Wing is a very good entry point, since it is the first of the "alternate universe" Gundam series, and requires absolutely no understanding of the main Gundam timeline to comprehend and enjoy. Wing was the fist Gundam series I ever watched, and I loved it then and still do. However, a turn-off to some viewers might be the overabundance of pretty boys in the main cast.

I really wish they would release Victory Gundam in the US, but it will likely be a long time coming; It is simultaneously the weirdest and the most serious Gundam series.

Absolutely. Gundam Wing was the first and only Gundam show that I watched consistently until it left the air. It, in my opinion, is the best series available though some may beg to differ.

@sabbacc108: thank you for bringing up a valuable point. Gundam Wing was one of the last series to not use too many CGI animations (in fact, I do not recall any ever being used.). that was the main reason why I stopped watching Seed. The artists nowadays have grown far more lazy, and it shows in their crappy presentations.

Also, and thank you again sabbacc108, one will not get caught up in the entire swarm of the Gundam Plot, as this series is entirely different. If anyone wants to start off watching a Gundam Series, this is the one to pick. i personally guarantee an enjoyable experience.

Gundam Wing was my favorite of the Gundam series. I wasn't into the plot though as I was into the mech designs. Those to me still are the best. Shoot. I'm 16 and what I got for Christmas was the entire Gundam Wing Endless Waltz model kit set. I already had them before, but for those that have been here for a while know that they broke in a tragic freak accident (me sneezing and knocking over my shelf)

Indeed. Cartoon Network should bring the Gundam's back, but luckily we have crunchyroll now so it doesn't matter much.
