The best DW with musou mode was DW5 since everyone had a musou mode unlike 6 that only had 17 and also 4 only had musou for each kingdom. My favorite musou mode to play would probably be Gan Ning's in DW6 since all of his fights were big ones.

I'd also agree with you in that DW5 had the best one. DW5 has a musou for every character and each with different set of missions. DW6 got longer musou for each character but only got musou for 5 characters per kingdom. DW3 tries to have musou for each character but they felt too identical. DW4's one-per-kingdom musou gets repetitive when you're playing different characters from one kingdom.

The only thing I didn't like regarding DW5's musou modes was the acting, and some inaccuracy regarding some of their stories. DW6 on the other had long musou modes that went indept with story and a little more accurate to history (regarding character personalities and potentials). The only musou mode in 6 I thought was a little weird was Lu Bu's. For the most part, they're getting better at tellling the story; and the movies between the battles were good to tie in with the story as well.

Well Koei has to sacrifice some historical accuracy to make their own story and the musou modes because some characters needed to have their role expanded. Plus part of the fun is to see Koei's own interpretations of these historical figures. DW6 while having great musou modes for each character, only has it for 5 per kingdom(leaving way too may without one) and that to me just seems really lazy. Had they done that for all characters DW6 would have been the one with the best musou.

Yeah, that's true. There's no fun in the leveling up of each character if there is no story behind them.
