well i doubt it's a good idea...since red rangers NEED to be hot headed...then again..im not saying females cant be.

they should try this for a change.
super sentai is repeating ideas, so they should change it up.
er haveing a woman extra ranger would be nice...

that's actually out of the picture for toei and sentai producers.
think about it. it's kinda chauvinistic if you see it that way, but tradition says that red rangers, being the leader of the group, need to be an alpha MALE.

the hot-headed, young red ranger just debuted in the earlier decades. if you watch the old-school sentai, the reds are usually the calm, quiet, emo characters with a lot of chips on their shoulders.

girls,if you want to blame someone, blame society. it's their freaking fault.

but then again, who knows with toei? they might decide to do something new, hence the first female red ranger.

Power Rangers had a female red ranger, cause unlike Toei, they're all about breaking down boundaries! Okay, so she was the red ranger of a villain team that showed up for one episode, so what?EDIT: This is obviously a joke. I'm aware of how superior Sentai is to DISNEY (not Saban) Power Rangers.

As much as I would like to see a Red female happen, it won't. You have to remember that the target audience for this show is young boys. The only reason they have girls in the show period is for fanservice. Example: Ran. I love Ran-chan, I really do. But it's an undeniable fact that her character was nowhere near as important as the male rangers. (unless you count Mele as a ranger. And if you even think about saying anything that so much as rhymes with "Mele-sama is an unimportant character", I will break your knees)

I'm not saying I don't want a Red female leader. You can't count how many fanfics I have in my head (but never wrote down) have a female red leader (based off one of my best friends). But that's how the world works. That's politics. What's that? You hate politics? That's also politics.

haha your right they're super dominant in every situation and does'nt get along with the black ranger or the blue one

hmm nice points you guys posted and it's a lot to think about hmm i'm just thinking of the producers should make a parody episode whre the girls take over then we could have a idea if it's good to have a female red ranger

It all goes back to tradition...like back in the not so ancient times...girls werent allowed to do this, do that. Worse thing is their marrige was chosen by the parents. Of course, I'm talking about Japan.

I can't imagine comparing the yellow and pink rangers with the red ones. Imagine deka pink as leader...some parts of the series dekaranger show that no one listens to her, claiming that she's not the leader, etc. I think that's considered an attempt to change...in a way or another. But it's still a big no-no.

HOWEVER...

a female boss villain would be good. as in the really big boss. I'm not too sure if this was implemented before.

i think that is impossible..because as we all know the colors pink, blue and yellow are the original colors that can be used by a female ss actress..the series might not look good if a female character is a red ranger..but they can be the leader or the main character..just like Yuuri of Timerangers.
