It's been like this for every topic he's posted on :P

either way, there's plenty that's been published to explain all of the "contradictions" or whatever people want to call them. Magnus is just to lazy to go out and find them, he'd rather sit on his butt and make himself look "superior".

Does that matter?? Isnt this group meant to share Gods joy and give those who dont believe an understanding? Judging his intentions is no ones buisness, our jobs as chrisitan is to spread the word of God. This topic happans to be on helping someone trying to understand His word. Even if Magnus is being the way you say he is, does that affect your job as a christian, even if the answers you hopefully will post fall on deaf ears...will it matter? Jesus and the disiples preached to many negative disbelieving people, but they never stopped. You repeatedly spread your faith, giving them the chance to accept it or not. There were many people in the Bible doing what you claim Magnus is doing...but I truely dont understand how this stops eveyone from sharing faith. If it bothers you, why even look at this thread or comment?

you dont understand at all. Magnus once was Christian. It's a very different ball park and if you dont think so then you're being ignorant. It does matter. This group is to build each other up in Christ but even you are attacking what I say. Is that Christian? Yes Jesus and his disciples preached to many "non-believers" but that was a long time ago where everyone had a religion. You cannot parallel 30 A.D. with 2008 A.D. there's too much of a time difference.

I knew that already...and no you cant compare those 2 time frames but you can defiantly compare the intentions. People who are christians go to church to hear Gods word. People who arent christian get to hear Gods word from christ followers. People who were chrisitans and arent anymore need to hear Gods word. But Im just annoyed everyone is commenting on how superior he is and thats so negative...its not our job to judge his intentions or what he think he is like. Im taking the time to take the scriptures and try my best to explain them I dont care if they fall on deaf ears, I did what it was ask and if he wants to listen or not is up to him. I also dont care if you can look it up online...usually when you do you end up at a forum like this. And Im sorry I wasnt attacking you at all. Im just annoyed that everyone is making comments like that. This thread is to give an understandment of Gods word and no one has...I dont care if he was christian or not...you can never listen or read Gods word enough. Im not attacking you either with this comment either.

Sorry I do not think Magnus was once a Christian. He may have gone to a main stream church but, we all know that many have a head Knowlege of Jesus but, not a hart knowlege. If he really had the faith I know and have. He would not turned away and say the things he does. We all need to show him the Love of Jesus in any way posable.

I totally agree with Ratman. Guys, the time frame of when Jesus preched and when they had a religion to now is totally irrelavent. Don't we still have the same end? Isn't our goals as Christians to spread the word in LOVE and COMPASSION? In 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 talks about how we cannot judge those outside of the body of Christ/not in the church/not Christians and we are only to judge those inside the church/famiy of Christ. Of course, to truely understand that passage, you have to read all of chapter five and Magnus dude... the only thing I can tell you about your questions is that 1. we cannot take any verse out of context. To truely understand a verse, we have to read the whole thing... and take into consideration the time. The ones in the New Testament are written with the new laws Jesus set down when he came to die. Those in the Old Testament are still valid, but most are specifically for that situation and with the old law in mind. I'm not saying the old law is bad, but now, we must follow the laws of Jesus. And 2. we don't have all the answers. There is so much about God that humans cannot comprehend and that we will never know for sure until the final day of judgement... when Jesus comes back or when we die. So it's great that you're searching... but sometimes you'll find that there are questions we simply cannot answer because we are humans... temperary, sinful, and limited humans. Each and every one of us. And really, the only thing I can really say as to your origional question "is God good to all, or just to a few" is that... God loves all. (I know it's so overused, but still) John 3:16: For God so loved THE WORLD..." And what I've seen of love in my life, love is tough and sometimes... a lot of times... God will do things that might hurt us now or seem like, "why did he do that?!" but in the end, it's all to help us grow and come to know God better. So I personally think that God is good to everyone because love cannot be bad. "Love is patient, kind, does not envy does not boast.. love NEVER fails."- i Corinthians 13:1-13. That is probably one of the best veiws of love in general that is in the Bible. The other is Christ dying on the cross... for everyone... reguardless of whether they believe him or not. That totally kinda went on a rabbit trail... but! God is amazing. He is completely indescribable. And he is good. Good to all because he loves all. Everywhere you look, you'll find people that quarrel about petty issues like what carpet to put in the church and Christians are not the best example of God's unfailing love, but in other ways they are. We are human, but in spite of that, we strive. We strive for perfection and we know that one day, we will be perfect because of Jesus' love and goodness to us. I don't know if that answered your question, but this is all I have to give. I'm praying for you guys...all of you.
