Not just knives but samurai swords? 0-o what the fuck! Samurai doesn't exist anymore and what kind of person would carry swords these days ... they should ban guns and all kinds of other weapons.

Lol it makes sense i guess but why not ban other weapons too....That reminds me of my school gym...there is a sign above it that says "No Nachos in Gym"...so i always thought "Can i bring in other food?" Maybe I can make them ban katanas at school so it says "No Nachos or Katanas in Gym"....that would be cool

Guns and other weapons ARE banned. You can't ban everything though, some of them have practical necessary uses too. (people need to chop onions! and people need to screw things in!)

This is completely necessary, lest we forget about about the dreaded drive-by swordings.

to everyone that said "why don't they ban other weapons?", if you read the full article you should have seen the bit at the end where it said that 17 other weapons are already on the list aswell. as for knives, in the article, it said they're working on it.

I didn't say everything, but I didn't know that guns were band. Yet, stupid people still use it to kill people. Only police or FBI should use guns, or some other professional people but not to hurt animals or people. Humans are stupid

Ban-kai like that? or even their shikai, or even the name of their zapakuto?
what's so wrong with a katana? why don't they ban their rowdy soccer fans, huh?
those racist punks?? huh? that seems a bit more conscientious!!
good thing I live in the US, where my collection of Japanese weapons is not against the law!!!!

You don't say? Banning knives? Really? To my knowledge anything over 3" can't be carried on a person.
