Last Friday the 13th, I saw a black cat while walking on my way to work, spilled salt, and walked under a ladder while on lunch break downtown - had the best week ever after that! if i had only broken a mirror, things would have been absolutely perfect. IMO, worrying about bad luck increases the likelihood of something "bad" happening due to perception and being preoccupied, not paying attention, which leads to accidents, etc. BTW, I really did see/do those things on Friday the 13th (except for the mirror bit) just to see if I'd get a run of bad luck. Nope!
