Well, can anyone tell me which is the best application to watch mkv formatted videos.
I usually download avi formats so im having a little trouble.

KMPlayer plays these files fine for me. From what I've found out, they're Blu-ray dvd rips. VLC Media Player will play them if you have the right codecs, but if you don't wanna go through a lot of b.s. trying to figure it out, just download this:

I've been using it a few months now and its been able to open every video/music file type I've come across! You can also skin it, if you care about stuff like that. :3 The link for the skins is here:

You can also use VLC player, it plays pretty much anything

I used to use VLC before I had found out about the KM player. The KM is pretty much the samething as VLC except it has more options, better sound and quality. ex. the option for the program to read aloud the subs
