My favorite weapon would have to be the body. You can train it in several different ways through several martial arts. You can train it in the way of ninja, samurai, and to use different weapons like the katana, kunai, shruiken, or even a fan. Not to mention, the mind can be a deadly weapon, too. And it works when you have no weapon except for your hands and feet.

I like the Naginata becuase of its light weight and reach. It can easily block sword stikes, and can be used as a sword and a spear. I train several hours every day with both the Naginata and the Katana, and I prefer the combat that is used with the Naginata. I like the Katana for its easy combat; you can probably atleast become a novice with ease if you have half a brain and money to buy a Katana. I am currently studying Kenjutsu (Japanese art of Katana combat). For third, I would have to say is a tie between the Ninjato and the Nagamaki. Both have similar combat, although the Ninjato is much lighter. I've already mastered Atarashii Naginata (the type of combat used with a Naginata, it means New Naginata) and I am training in Kenjusu, which covers the other three weapons.

My Katana:

My Naginata:

The naginata is actually from World War II, when my grandfather's group raided a Japanese temple and stole it. (Sumimasen! )

My Ninjato:

My Nagamaki:

NOTE: Some of you must be wondering why I have so much weaponry, so here is my answer: My mom wants me to be ready for the terrorists. (Don't even ask.) I also have a basement full of pistols, rifles, shotguns, and I think we even have a rocket launcher somewhere.

i favor a fantacy weapon called the buckler-axe, although never used in actual combat i have a pair that i use in friendly fights to great results. A buckler-axe is a 22in round metal disk that straps to your arm leaving your hands free( for daggers, on my part) 3/4 of the buckler is sharpened to ablade and there is a 8in daggar blade coming of the axe over your knuckles, the 1/4 facing your elbow is dull. The Buckler-Axe is best used in pairs and is wonderful to charge with.

Very nice. I am glad someone brings knowledge of more exotic [yet very much real and not fantasy/anime] weaponry to the group.

my favorite weapon is the katar and The épée

The katar is unique because to stab an opponent one has to simply punch instead of thrust, unlike when using a regular knife or dagger. It is more like an extension of the fist than a dagger, and it seems more natural to attack and defend with a katar.my dad was a master in using the katar but never taught me.

The épée is a type of rapier used in fencing competitions. its fast and fleixable it think its one of the greatest weapons. i fenced a lot when i was younger . but these two are my favorite weapons

Formal classes from a certified instructor is the only way to properly learn any kind of martial arts.
You cannot say you know this and that unless you have the legit training.

Very nice. However the Epee is not a weapon just as a waster, bokken, or shinai are not weapons.
I do love the rapier and the smallsword though.
The Katar is an interesting device.

I'd have to say a Recurve Longbow is my favorite, though unfortunately I don't know how to use one. I'm hoping to find an archery range near where I live so I can start learning soon.

My second would probably have to be a Kukri because it can be such a versatile blade. Again, no training in useing one but I don't think I'd want one to fight with.

archery is something i always wanted to try out too... They had a class for it at my old school but they couldnt do it after class so the class was like 5 am. I still had no problem with that but unfortunately i live far from school and couldnt get a ride that early.

Ouch, 5am? That would have to suck. My school never did any classes like that, I wish they would have though. Too many parents would've complained it's too dangerous, which is funny because I bet that at least 65% or more of my school knew how to shoot a gun, which is more dangerous for highschoolers I think (well at least most of the guys did). That's the joy of living with a bunch of rednecks.
