Hmmm... I seriously doubt this, I have definately seen worse than that ep on CR. I mean even in the opening five minutes of Blassreiter there was that naked corpse.
I think it was more likely to be due to copyright problems.

Your mostly likely right. Gonzo or Shinji are most likely trying to cover up something that they don't want anyone to find out. Though, as expected, Shinji and Gonzo have decided to remain silent about this sitution.
I have an idea why Druaga was taken down, but these could simply be assumptions. All I will say on this matter is that money is likely involed as well.
Though Druaga wasn't that great of a series, the first episode was beyond terriable. This series even makes Hayate The New Combat Butler decent.
