We'd like to go back to the moon first. That's the first step to be achieved by 2020, then we plan to eventually make that manned mission to Mars. It will be a great day. I wish I could go.

I personally don't see any practical reason to go to Mars....unless in like 10 years we all have to pack up and leave Earthe cuz we pretty much destroyed the environment. But still it would only be a waste of money to get enough resources to provide for any person willing to endure the 2-3 years of simply traveling. But if we somehow get the technology to allow rockets to move 100 times the speed theycan move now then that is probably the best time to send a person to Mars

WHAT!!??? Mars is a shithole. It's ten times worse than what earth would be like if we destroyed it.

Going a bit sci-fi here, but in the decades that come, it may be more feasible to be able to actually terraform Mars, and if we manage to do that, then we can do the same to Venus as well. Then we'll have 3 habitable planets for humans to live on.

If this war keeps up, I have a feeling NASA will die out within the next 10 years.

Yeah, we need to abolish political borders and form an "EARTH SPACE TEAM".
