saw them live just before christmas and they were amazing, totally outshone the other bands they played with lol. All they do is bounce about stage and insult each other, really good experience

they're not BAD, but they're definitley not my style. i can't stand powermetal

what i don't think can be refused is that herman li (the guitarist) is NOT one of the best guitarists in the world. i've heard from many guitarists that he's really not that great, and when i saw them live he missed notes and made mistakes.

theres no way he can compete with some guiarists i know, they're on a whole other level.

like who???

michaelangelo batio, yngwie malmsteen, alexi laiho, jeff waters, etc.

Dude honestly ive never heard of any off these people??? ill try and find them on Limewire thought thanks...

youtube them instead and WATCH their greatness while you hear it. twice the shredding experience then

Personally, I don't really like Dragonforce songs. I find that all their singles sound too similar probably due to the lack of breaks and rests when they play.

And DO NOT get me started on Dragonforce songs used for stepfiles on StepMania.

yeah, I agree. They were pretty good in their "Valley of the Damned" days but now all their material is just recycled and used over again.. :/

Dragonforce is alright, but their not all that great either. The guitaring in it is pretty good for the fret tapping, but it's always the same guitaring in it if you listen to every song they have, especially in their new album "Inhuman Rampage."

Okay, maybe you're right. But, Herman Li isn't the only guitarist in Dragonforce. He and Sam Tottman trade off duties as lead guitarist and backing vocals. Naturally he shouldn't get all of the credit, but yes he is one of the very best. Mabye not the best, but he's up there. I personally like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eddie Van Halen, but that just me. Oh yeah, I'm a Dragonforce and Megadeth fanatic.

And tell me who wouldn't be a little bit off live? We're all human. Plus, he's naturally going to sound better on record because you can edit it and play as many time as you need to in studio to get it to sound like it should. Live is one shot. Everyone makes mistakes. That can be helped, but then again it can't, if you know what I mean.
