So far it's good! Even if it strays from the manga (which I love) it won't matter too much because the manga doesn't have much plot advancement in the 95 chapters that I've read so far . I'm interested to see if the anime will be given a good plot or if it'll be random small arcs like the manga. Either way I'll be happy

I could say dears had an alright ending, which needed allot more to finish it up. chobits, however just seemed to cut off without explaining a thing in the end, like what happened to all the personicons did they suddenly gain human emotions? and ya it would be better if it had another season... i sure hope to love-ru doesnt end with a cliche~

Funny Chobits suffer from having too many episodes, there is a lot of filler in there ... too much in fact and it certainly makes Hideki look a far bigger idiot that in the manga (were he is simply ignorant of some things and just rushes a few times).

In the manga Chi "ultimate power" was the ability of stopping personcons of being able to tell the difference of one person from the rest as so there would never be "individuals" and so they could never fall in love, that was done because of what happened to Freya and to prevent persocons from suffering for the same reason.

The anime tried to reverse it, you could say they "gained emotions" but it does not make much sense .... especially considering how the manga (and the anime to a lesser extent) hammered the idea that persocons and humans are diferent as there are things they can do and things they cannot do (Freya even hammered that further reminding him they could never "unite" because of Chi on/off switch), its a example to why adaptations are usually tinkered with and made worst that the original.

That is why you never get the reason to why Chi was dump in the trash in the first place, the manga explains it (Chitose put her there for someone to take her, Hideki was the only one that keep her even knowing Chi was "damaged" as other people either ignored her or put her back in the trash when they realized she was "damaged") as the anime never bothers to even explain it.

I think DearS ends well because it never goes into the manga storyline that decided to change the DearS from a slave race into something else ... DearS manga is lost potential.

To-Love-Ru ... I could not take the first episode to the end, the manga at least have some novelty (Rito confesses to Haruna, Lala ends up in from of him and makes it look like Rito confessed to her ... Lala does not love Rito at start and just wanted to escape being forced into marriage so she plays along, heck even now Rito still wants Haruna and the only difference with Lala is he warmed up to her and no longer wants to get rid of her ... its still Rito X Haruna) as the anime was ... cliche.

I'll agree with u on the chobits part, except they do explain in the anime why she put chi in the dump u need to watch series again XD,

but with dears i know how the manga ends and since the manga was originally a comedy rather than a romance i think the mangas ending was allot funnier, i mean imagine if u were that guy and like a thousand girls need cha~

but for to-love-ru u should know that the animes always stray from the manga and i think it will end up with a lala X rito relationship, or pretty much a second season would never exist...

Not exactly true, "History Strongest Student Kenich" have some deviations and omissions from the manga but still the same thing, DearS is also very close to the manga with some added bits and slight changes for most part.

I cannot say the same about To-Love-Ru, the first episode throws us the "generic harem male lead" and the usually we get from "harem anime" that, I think, we are all sick and tired of seeing. What makes Rito acceptable is that he cares about Haruna and nobody else, also they make a further deviation as Rito interest on Haruma is somewhat recent (it started on the previous year sports meeting) as the anime is already setting that up further back and making several changes ... making a Lala X Rito ending will not only kill a second season but also will be going beyond adaptation and into "making stuff up because we can".

I liked it, but I think I prefer the Zastin from the manga: lost and getting hit by stuff.
