actually schools are actually nothing compared when you are working outside..the starting and going into a new sllyabus kills ppl and the end of it kills too..but still when you are working..this will then be the place where you cry hard..so study hard then you won't need to work as hard in the future..

I dont really know which to choose. I think its above average. Some people may think that other countries are taking more subjects than us at the similar education level. However, we never know how much contents and quality they have for their subjects. Beside, I feel that different countries have different culture and lifestyle, these may affect the performance of students as a whole. With these in mind, I dont think that its fair to compare with other countries.

In my opinion, we are in a pretty stressful society. Our academic performance starting from primary will more or less affect our future. (Although we have sport school, but most of the rest of us who follow the normal education route are priced by our academic ability) Our value is determined by the number or types of papers (certificate, degree, diploma etc.) that tag along with our name. We may have many different academic choices, but most of those at tertiary level are restricted by subjects we took earlier. For brilliant students, the education system doesnt really bother them. Most of them are likely to be opened to most routes. For average students, some of them may get into local university and complete their education in the "standard" way. For those who didnt make it, but are able to afford private/foriegn instituition/universities tuition fee. They still managed to complete their education in a similar way. Whereas for people who cant afford them, they are most likely wont be able to get any financial aid/subsidise. So, they are "stuck". For weaker students, quite likely that their other talents are never discovered.

Although many people had told me that experience is more important in society. However, they have forgottened that its our resume and certificates which will make the employers to give us our FIRST chance.

However, we all know that there is no perfect education system in the world. There is no way a standardized system could meet everyone's need. Perhaps, our government is trying, but probably our current system is the best they could come up for the majority presently.

Coping with studies is not easy, but we still have to deal with the education system. After our education, we have to face a new wave of experience working. Then, we also have to try to survive in the complex and sometimes ugly social relationship (this is the closest word I can think of).

I dont know where I am getting, but I just type whatever comes up my mind. By the way, I am one of those who are "stuck"..

Yeah, but our standards are high so our education system is recognised worldwide... so I guess it's a good thing in a way.

Omg yeahh i am soo stress by Singapore's Education especially because im taking O next year and they have changed the syllabus so now we cant use previous specimen papers to practice but to predict what will be include in the exam and we also have to rush to finish the chapters that we havent covered yet and there are loads of it AND the chapters that we have learned before turned up will not be included in O levels so its a waste of time !!

Lol do anyone even read what i've said above what a long rant.

Anyway yeahh Singapore is known as one of the country with the best education, so thats why but then its us that suffer. I heard malaysians and other countries have a very simple test, which is not fair

Haha yeah, I read yours.. Just hang in there. If you study hard now, trust me, you'll be less stressed next year(: Hope the best for you((: Oh, and another thing, although Malaysians have fairer tests, their major exams are not recognised all over the world, but since we take GCE Os , we're recognised almost everywhere. I guess we're at advantage!
