Yes, yes... I paired Atheists and Agnostics together.... some may disagree with me doing so, so may agree. The reason behind this is they're ALMOST the same, and I don't really think there needs to be individual threads for both Agnostics and Atheists. Agnostics have believes in none of the religions, but have the feeling/do believe there is a higher being or something. Atheists, have beliefs in none due to the poor amount of things that can be proven. But if somehow there somehow WAS information that would make total sense and someone sucessfully talked the sense itno them, an Atheist would covert, and so would an Agnostic. Not exactly the same thing, but I'd say close enough.

So it's been brought to my attention lately, there's been this "rise" or Atheists and some Agnostics. Mostly in children in their teens. Most of them seem "newly discovered" little things, and they get a bit overhand with their new found thoughts of religion. Flaming at people like mad men, and giving atheists(and if the person even knows what an agnostic means, maybe them too) a bad name.

This is a thread was created to halt the "lulz god no exist" in the Christian thread, and for Atheist and Agnostics to discuss things. Why they disprove many things in religious beliefs and stuff... and maybe to give Atheists and Agnostics a better name? Maybe.. just maybe. I do hope Christian people, won't play the "eye for an eye" game and come here and go "U R ALL GOIN TO HELL DUN GIV ME EXCOOZE U CAME FRUM YO MOMMA'S VAGOO", and then when people yell at you for doing you justify yourself with "You did that in our thread!!" Remember in some cases, "an eye for an eye, makes the world go blind." This is one of them.

So awee... wee... thread start wee.. wee... weee... Also lets try to keep discussions up here. And not "lulz I don't think god exists lol I atheist too" and for there to be no discussion whatsoever. Discussion is what should happen in a forum, not tons of posts, where there's no discussion.

NOTE: I don't think as deeply as all of you as in what "Atheist" and "Agnostic" really means, I keep the general one. :3 Also if there's a thread like this, I'm sorry it wasn't in the index!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I POSTED IN WRONG SECTION!! I FEEL LIKE CUTTING MY WRISTS WAAAH!

Well i am agnostic but i have enough respect for other religions to not make fun of them in a thread about their beliefs. I was sorta Christian for awhile until i realized i never really believed it then i said i was "other" until i heard of agnostic and saw that it perfectly described how i was. I think everyone should have their own religion and not hold disrespect towards other religions.I have noticed many of my friends becoming Agnostic too. Maybe there is just not much belief anymore...The big religions in my school are Christianity (of course) and now agnostic. Besides saying that i really don't know what else to say...

Wikipedia article

"Mild agnosticism (also called weak agnosticism, soft agnosticism, open agnosticism, empirical agnosticism, temporal agnosticism)—the view that the existence or nonexistence of God or gods is currently unknown but is not necessarily unknowable, therefore one will withhold judgment until/if more evidence is available. A weak agnostic would say 'I don't know, but maybe you do.' "

that is more how i am.

Okay hold on a second pokie.

Agnosticism is not about a belief in God but about knowledge. This is why there are both theist Agnostics and atheists Agnostics and these are only two of about 8 categories or so of Agnosticism.

Some people think the order of things goes like this:

atheist < agnostic < theists.

Agnosticism is not in the middle of the two. It is a different thing.

"Atheist's respect other peoples beliefs. We are just more "sure" than Agnostic's"

I dont really agree with that statement. Atheists can be just as extreme as a religous person can be, only on the other end of the spectrum. I would think agnostics are more open to other beliefs.

Personally I would say that I am leaning more towards agnosticism than atheism just because I dont like definite situations. I havent seen proof so I wont say that I am absolutely sure about the existence of a 'higher power.' Though I do hate that phrase. Could also be that agnostics are just a bunch of indecisive people who cant make up their minds.

if i can have good solid evidence that god exists, then i'll believe it. until then, i'll stick to good old science to explain how the world and people were created.

No one knows about the very beginning, before the big bang. There are theories, But no evidence. Just like religion.
