If you've been to Canada, what did you think of it?

I think we'd be better to take this debate to PMs, 'lest we get yelled at for going off topic. I'm kind of enjoying this little debate.

It's not as great as they say, or at least, it depends where in you go to.

^^^^^Well, I was looking at willyownka's post and I didn't know what to think of it honestly.
First of all, chill the hell out man. No one is bashing you or your country.
I have never been to Canada so I don't have any views on it and your lucky I learned an individual's actions represents himself and only himself not a group of people or I would of gotten a bad impression like was bestowed onto you of America. And please do more research before you make such bold statements about politics.

If you were to think like that cc, you could've always read what I was typing. I think I got the point across that not all Canadians are jerks.

Yes, thanks. I just sort of read his post then jumped to writing something.

I wouldn't expect you to read the entire thread, most people don't. I only got the point across 'cause I love arguing anyway.

Err, political views on politics, eh? Shouldn't it be of politics or something? Am I missing something here?

A lot of people here in the west want out as well, like Quebec.

I don't want out. I like being part of Canada, our province gets money even though we're in debt because of Canada.

You can't tell, but I'm in Alberta. That should make sense.

Honestly, this country is too big and unwieldy. Too many problems, and our system as it is won't solve any of them until they're too large to pretend they don't exist anymore.

Hey your province has no debt and you get better winter than us. But then yeah there are too many problems, but that doesn't matter, winter in Canada is nice especially in the Niagara Falls when its a bit frozen.

Canada has always been an unweildly country. Although, it doesn't seem to bother others, as we keep growing in population through people immigrating. Also, the economy is still staying afloat despite our internal problems, and as long as that's still going, we'll be alright.

That's not the right attitude to have.
I don't know how old you are, but you can't just go laissez-faire when you think things aren't going to be critically bad anytime soon.

For instance, how do we keep our social benefits as they are without people exploiting them?
