I'm replying because I want you to know the time I die, the time I have left is irrelevant. I think if there was a god, he'd damn all the selfish people who suck up to him and worship him and leave the afterlife for us atheists and non-believers who actually appreciate and cherish the beautiful gift of life we are given - BY ACTUALLY LIVING OUR LIVES TO THE FULLEST AND NOT LIVING EACH DAY OBSESSED WITH DEATH.

I used to believe in god, but my life was consistently shitty and I had no friends strictly because of my belief in god. My brother treated me like shit every day and made sure anyone I knew would join in on making fun of me... I was in constant hell all while trying to be the perfect christian.
If there was a god, I would have friends and not be depressed and alone every single day of my life.

What a horrible god that would be! Why would a god need or desire to ruin a persons life in order to "test" them? I was raised in a cult that demonized everything and everyone that wasn't part of it. My whole family has shunned me because of my lack of belief. And my brother died after driving drunk (he did that often) into an unoccupied building. It was tough losing him, but I always expected it. He got into fights often and did many drugs, but he was a hardcore alcoholic. All the while I have tried my hardest to stay strong and continue to be a nice and loving person.
Would any sort of god that even bothered to care about the dealings of men cause or not help this shitty life I've had to go through?
