I believe in God. I also find it amazing that faith has been around forever and most people have a difficult time discussing it calmly and without getting upset.

Short answer: no
Long answer: yes

I don't believe in the fact God makes the decisions for life and such or how your future will turn out etc but I do believe that there is some kind of being that has overall control over the universe...
I mean, how couldn't something exists like that? Lol

I am God so of course I believe I exist. Or do I?

But i'm inclined to say no, I don't believe in God in the traditional sense.

I'm surprised how pious this site is...

tl;dr response? No, absolutely not.

While a the existence of a deity cannot be directly disproved, I don't see any reason to believe in such an entity. In a non-infinitely regressing universe such as ours, there must be a source. Something came from nothing, and whether or not there's a "God" in the mix there is just a degree of separation. I choose to believe what is observable, measurable, calculable, and explainable. While the statistical probability of there being a god is non-zero, it is so small as to be insignificant. The universe can be explained in absolute terms through study, the only limiting factors to this knowledge are time and humanity's willingness to learn. Subscribing to mysticism and confining your mind to scriptures of men you've never met, from lands you've never seen, and who lived in a time you have little concept of, is dangerous and limiting.

That said, I wouldn't ever tell anybody else how to live their lives, and I do wish that the religious community would give me the same courtesy. Just because you disagree with an idea, or find something offensive doesn't give you the right to stop it or censor it. Science and medicine must be free to proceed unencumbered by those purporting the concept of morality, as media and information must be allowed to be generated and distributed without regulation.

What hinders us as a species is the notion that anybody, be it individually or in a group, has the right to rule over anything outside of themselves. The smallest and greatest minority is the individual. If you have others to bow to you, one day you will find yourself being forced to bow to them as well.

I'm a Catholic and I believe there is a God. Although only to an extent. I can still accept scientific theories that may disprove certain aspects of Religion but I haven't found anything that completely disproves the existence of a higher being. Believe what you want to believe because when it comes to your faith, there is no definitive wrong answer.

I am an atheist, and I think any religion is foolish, useless, and is largely to blame for what's holding us back as a species.

Agree entirely, was raised in an atheist family in one of the most secularized nations on the planet. When i grew up I learned to question and use logic.

YUP, I sure do and I have solid evidence to back that up. Simply, a lack of Frost Giants. There are no Frost Giants anywhere. There is evil but NO Frost Giants. Plus one of my Gods has a friend his name in Mjolnir. Mjolnir is a hammer..ooops sorry I forgot I shouldn't mention nails. Sorry for the bad joke . However in all seriousness there is a lack of evidence for God as he is described in the Bible. I would not want to worship him as he is in the Bible either. There are too many things that are opposed by science now for religion to be taken seriously. For example the earth being 6,000 years old. The universe being created in 6 days. Light was created on the Fist day but the light sources were not unti the fourth day. If the Bible is the infallible word of God then it can not be wrong. If it is wrong then God is wrong. If God is wrong then he is not perfect as Psalm 18:30 says. So the God at least as he is described in the Bible cannot exist.

Nah let's KILL THEM ALL

Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him." (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

Then we can RAPE THEIR WOMEN

"When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house. But before she may live there, she must shave her head and pare her nails and lay aside her captive's garb. After she has mourned her father and mother for a full month, you may have relations with her, and you shall be her husband and she shall be your wife. However, if later on you lose your liking for her, you shall give her her freedom, if she wishes it; but you shall not sell her or enslave her, since she was married to you under compulsion."
(Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NAB)

Is there an indifferent option?
I don't care about religion tbh, I'd prefer not to be involved in it...

I am pleasantly surprised by the number of people who believe. I personally believe in GOD as my Lord and Savior. Life would be pointless without Him.
