if kids are into anime i say give them their narutos and bleaches, but keep them away from the elfen lied and the higurashi no naku koro ni --------- imo

Definitely true. Kids are very influential while some low IQed idiots do not really understand the gravity of the situation and ruin the best bits. Elfen Lied is one of the most violent (which is not censored) anime out there. I recommend it to some of my friends that are around the same age as me, they had nightmares... hmph, feeble minded people.

it depends on th anime. an anime for anyone would be like naruto. easy to understand. but an anime like higurashi no naku koro ni and elfen lied would be to difficult to watch for immature people. xD

Personally, I don't think age really matters that much. Heck, you could have a dumbass, immature 15 year old watching Elfen Lied or something and the reaction probably wouldn't be that different from a immature 12 year old or something. Honestly, I don't think a lot of people even look at the age ratings. o.o *I know I don't*

kids shouldn't watch anime with ecchi cuz they might grow up to be like the ones they see in anime....

Hmm... Anyone can watch anime if they can handle it. I guess kids should watch PG anime. But I think it depends on the individual.

Anime, just like any other form of entertainment needs to be supervised. I'm not any of you guys parent but I will tell you right now that I have seen several animes' that are R rated right here on this site. I am fortunate that My kids are all grown up now and I share an appreciation of anime with my daughter. I Know that some of you out there are under 18 and I'm telling you some of this stuff is pretty rough. Be careful out there.

depends on the age.
like someone else just said, different ages may have the same reaction.

but, the younger may take it differently. :B

It depends on the anime I guess. A lot of anime is great for kids, but then once they "get into" anime, they start to think they're more mature than they are, and start watching progressively more violent or racy ones. I dunno. Also.. Even though shows like Naruto and Bleach ARE marketed towards youngerish kids, When I watched it when I was.. fifteenish? I was actually still pretty shocked by the amount of blood and violence in it. Like, not shocked shocked, but shocked like, wow.. my 10 year old cousin watches this? So I dunno. Maybe I'm just being a prude, but whatever.

Hoo yeah, then in Naruto, there's all the scenes where the characters all have sad flashbacks or something like that, which makes all your 10 year olds think that they're all special and depressed now. That's annoying too. People shouldn't learn the lessons of life through media. They should learn how to be special and depressed on their own at the right pace.

Depends on the anime. Plus, it is best if they get subbed version since its original and great way to learn Japanese.
