when u delete regular on a comp, its still there on the harddrive. unless u wipe the harddrive it stays there. once u wipe its just gone.

Even when you wipe it, it's still not fully gone since police can still recover it the closest you'll ever get is by using a program that chops up the data. (Don't ask I have a feeling certain types are monitoring this forum)

well, technically it won't go anywhere and are still located at your hard drive.

ok... let's put it this way, your hard drive has a "table of contents" thingy so, when you delete a file it will just delete a file name in the "table of contents". Your computer no longer sees it and can no longer access it though its still physically there BUT that space is already ready for reuse or can be overwritten by other files.

So, before your files are overwritten by new files, you can still recover it by using 3rd party softwares, even though you have already deleted in from the recycle bin.
