haruki murakami

so yeah........you know that reference that shows up in sayonara zetsubou sensei? well yeah that got me interested in haruki murakami......and i have to say he's an interesting writer....ive only read two of his books, the wind-up bird chronicles and kafka on the shore, but they were both freakishly awesome

the books had whores, pimps, graphic depictions of sex, violence and you know that feeling you get when you finish something good, but you wish it would keep going? well thats the feeling i got

ive only read the translations, but still, it was really good......

so what do i hope the books and stuff will be made into an anime? well it would be awesome but the censoring would suck

and for a drama? the censoring and cuttings of the plots would suck even more, but a based on the books kinda version would be ok

all in all the books were great, all sorts of metaphysical stuff, philosophy, romance, and music references

so what do you think of haruki murakami (he's an author, if you havent already figured it out)

Awesome author, I've read Norwegian Wood, Kafka On The Shore & just recently After Dark.

Love his work ^_^ They always get me in a special mood :]

I think there is already an anime based on one of his books.

Film* not anime :p

I would love to try his books... but I dunnoe, its troublesome...and well the translation might ruin the original novel but then again, if an anime came, it would turn out the same

I only read Kafka On The Shore and I'm saving my money to buy his other books. I enjoyed reading Kafka but my sister doesn't like it. I guess his style of writing is not really her cup of tea.

I want to try Out by Natsuo Kirino, I read reviews for the book and it seems interesting.

I don't know how many times I've already read Norwegian wood which was also my first book from him. For some reason I can't stop reading that book.
His books inspire me so much and one always somehow relates to them, well that's what I think. The book I last read was called Hard boiled wonderland and the end of the world, another wonderful book by Murakami.

and he's the only writer to
write a scenario where a 30 year old man
offers a 16 year old girl beer without it being creepy

Planning on reading every translated novel by him :P

Got most of 'em, but as I'm a little low on money right now, it'll probably be a while till I can read more..
