even tho english words doesnt always fit, the english subtitles are better then the english dubbed... take naruto for instance... there it shows the difference.
but what can you do just enjoy it while you can

I totally agree when they use English words in the anime it defiantly spoils the moment for me also when they use them in anime songs too I really wish if they could stop doing that
But I really don’t get it way cant they Just use the Japanese words I believe it would be better

But if you listen to the third ending of Hajime no Ippo, that song is boss and it is completely in English. That group was so talented.

Depends on situation. Sometimes they use english words like a special term, like "guardians" or "vampire/banpaiya" in vampire knight or even "batta=butter" in yakitatte ,"furiikusu/freaks" in hellsing. lots of words are borrowed or carry through to other languages. it usually works only in funny situations for me tho, if native tongue japanese try to speak english and say the line in a cool way, usually an unfortunate epic fail. T_T good example yami no matsuei ep 7ish ("I habu no mone!= I have no money!= funny." "Stopu, yuu gaisu bakku off... ofu him.= Stop you guys, back off of him.= not cool.") it's tough! english is a wonky language as it is. btw, banpaiya is not the only japanese term for vampires kyuuketsuki also means vampire or bloodsucker.

If the main language spoken is Japanese, then it is advisable to avoid using English words.

there's one episode in meitantei conna aka case closed aka detective conan, shinichi was conversing with some guy in english. it sucked! his whole image was spoiled! completely!! why do they such when it comes to speaking english........

LOL, yeah I totally agree like an episode in Black Lagoon when Levy was speaking english...it sounded so horrible even worse were the "Americans" In Gigantic formula...my goodness they sounded like complete robots. I understand the whole language barrier thing but I believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Heck, I give a "C" for effort but a little research on how to properly speak English wouldn't hurt now wouldn't it?

They probably think English speaking people suck at Japanese just as much as English speaking people think they suck at English.

but we are not talking about dubs here. were talking about those times when in anime a character would attempt to speak english.
