Crysis is a game w/ prettiest graphics i ever saw... but, one thing; where is the gameplay? and the story? MEDIOCRE!! Serious Sam is a game that was released in 2001, it has pretty good gameplay, but bad graphics for 2001, so yeah, Painkiller has some nice graphics but doesn't has those modern shaders and effects but has addicting gameplay... so my choice is... GAMEPLAY!!

Definitely gameplay. Some people actually like to play the old school games from time to time. Graphics alone just won't last long. Infact, I keep trying these graphic advanced games with my friends and they're so boring. @@

Gameplay all the way. Take a look at guitar hero and rock band. Those video games do not need high quality graphics to play those types of games and they have become a huge hit.

Is it a little too much to ask for both? Just take Crysis for example, the graphics are realistic but the story line sucks. But other games on the other hand - call of duty 4- gears of war - devil may cry 4, those games have both good graphics and a good story line. but in the end story line is what makes a game a game.
