Why is it socially acceptable for guys to go shirtless but not girls?

I know in America it's because this country is full of prudes and deluded idiots who equate nudity with sexuality. Can't speak for the other countries though.

What do you mean? Here in California, I do see girls who walk around in bikini tops, but only in spring and summertime.

Wearing bikini tops technically isn't going nude. No matter how many times you attempt to explain that other than the material used bikini tops (and bottoms for that matter) are exactly the same as womens underwear. In terms of revealing.

Okay then, medically speaking, breasts are considered a sex organ and I'm pretty sure showing sexual organs is illegal for both genders.

A woman's breasts are sex organs, a man's is not. Simple logic.

Maybe because men don't have large breasts like woman do. It has nothing to do with sexism, yet just a form of decency and respect. In some cultures women do walk around topless, but it is socially acceptable in their culture.

Girls have boobies, that's why.
Girls CAN walk around topless, it's just a matter of decency and respect for one's self, right?

men can still get sensitivity/pleasure in their breast/nipples and some men even leak milk during some sort of high stress or puberty. Google search if you don't believe me. That aside it's just fat tissue, i am over the OMG BOOBIES stage of my life.

There are reasons why it can work and reasons why it can't.

Me, I don't ever walk around even in a bathing suit, so I don't plan on going to any nude beaches any time soon.

Because girls don't need men's breast milk when they're born.

In my opinion, this is discussion is rather idiotic.
I'm pretty sure that a woman could go shirtless and she wouldn't get arrested (at least here), but for herself, it would be strange, cuz every guy with less shame than me would stare at her.

How is it shameful to look at breasts? We were taught to like them at our most instinctive years.

basically cause girls have boobies and most guys dont so girls gotta cover those up or go shirtless i dont mind ;D
