Anime Girls: why are they prettier than real girls?

Besides, why compare a pretty girl in anime with a pretty girl in real life when the proportions in anime are different to real life like the size of the eyes, the body etc.

People probably find them prettier because they have the supposed "Perfect figure", if they don't they always compensate with something. I don't think the trouble is that they're prettier, but that their personality is far more attractive than that of regular girls. I mean sometimes I think their personalities are so fake it's sad, but in many cases they actually contain aspects I'd actually want in a real woman; Sweet, gentle, virgin, beautiful. In an anime world there are plenty of those, in ours there are few.
