if you want to wash your hair everyday then just buy a shampoo for frequent use. they are milder. also dont wash it twice a day, just the once. if you want to look good for the day then just wash it in the morning.

dunking your hair in water at the end of the day wont hurt your hair

styling every day isnt a problem, as long as you arent heat styling. blow dryers, straighteners etc.
i would only do that every other day, or longer if you can do that.
most styling products arent a problem, in fact lots of them can protect your hair during styling, and form the effects of the sun, so try and use one of them.

over brushing isnt good. dont brush your hair all the time. once or twice a day is fine. that business about brushing your hair a hundred times to make it shiny is nonsense. all it does is give you split ends and make your hair oily.

by the way zinc is a good supplement for healthy hair, as are healthy oils, nuts etc

actually, washing your hair is fine, u should shampoo like 1 every 2 or three days, so ur hairs natural oils will make it stronger, or pu a lil conditioner on ur hair after u dry it, my friend suggested this to me and my hair is soo much healthier, unless i have a naturally strong hair or sumthin

For better natural treatment,
You should wash your hair (twice) a week.
First, just wash your hair with cold water (never use hot water), then put (herbal)shampoo, and wash it, then again, put shampoo and leave it for 5 mins, in the meantime, you can either wash your body or just masturbate (hehe)......then wash your hair with cold water............Never do styling with water, it will wipe your hairs' natural oil..........!!......

Washing it too frequently isn't a good thing. The natural oils that your scalp produces acts almost like a moisturizer. If you're washing your hair multiple times a day, you're more likely to develop a dry, flaky scalp and even dandruff. Ultimately, this means the quality of your hair would be affected as well.

It really depends on what you mean by 'styling' as well. Heat should definitely be used sparingly. If you're blow-drying, avoid using the highest setting and keep it a few inches away from your head. Don't concentrate the heat on one area for too long because this can really dry out your hair.

Another more common reason for hair loss is stress! I find I can always find more hair on the bathroom floor during an exam period than I do at any other time of the year. Your hair goes through a cycle of loss and growth (back and forth) every couple of months. Things like stress or lack of sleep can disrupt this pattern and make it go slightly out of whack, so to speak.

You shouldn't wash it every day, and especially not twice a day because it dries your scalp out and can cause dandruff which leads to clogged follicles and hair loss. You need the natural hair oil to keep your hair healthy, so let it get greasy now and then. If you are using styling products that make your hair stiff, wash it out at night, but do not wash it again in the morning to avoid split ends. Also, if at all possible, buy your shampoo from a salon. The stuff in the grocery store has paraphin wax as a filler, which does not actually make your hair healthy, it just coats it with residue and makes it shiny- which also clogs pores and causes dandruff/loss of hair. If you are having a problem with hair loss, try NIOXIN. It will remove dirt and oil from the clogged folicles and let new hair grow back.

I wash my hair at night and brush it. i l let it naturally dry. in the morning i just brush it. i dont style it. But i do wash my hair everyday. BTW how do you get rid of dandruff???

Dandruff is just dry skin, so you want a nice conditioner to moisturize it. A lot of store bought dandruff shampoos and conditioners are actually bad for you, because instead of exfoliating and moisturizing your scalp, they just use a wax-like residue to basically "glue" the flakes of skin to your head (it makes it seem like the dandruff is gone, buy it's just caked to your scalp). This of course does not solve the problem, but in fact make it worse in the long run because the dead skin which is not being exfoliated will clog your hair follicles and prevent new hairs to grow. Any shampoo and conditioner you buy at a salon will solve this problem. Most products in the grocery store will make it worse.

Hmmm...Thanks. What kind would you recommend?

My problem is, my hair is really dry from coloring it. I can barely comb through it and i've already had it trimmed for split ends. But I wash my hair almost every day, because when I go to work in the morning I have to have it up in a bun (I'm in the military) and I can't put it up as good when it's not wet. Any suggestions? Cause when I wash my hair it feels all dry and icky when it's wet. And then the combing thing sucks even worse.

I personally LOVE Nioxin. My hair has doubled in thickness since I started using it, and my dandruff is gone. But anything from a salon would be good, and I'm sure the stylists will tell you what would be best for your hair type.

Constant washing and styling is unhealthy for your hair. Rotate which days you wash and don't wash your hair. Also, blow drying and styling is also bad for your hair. Try to take showers earlier at night around 7 or before so it can naturally dry itself. If you blow dry and style, you're basically just burning your hair and ripping it out with a comb at the same time and then dumping a bunch of chemicals on it.

Thanks!! You are a great help. ^^ However, isn't most salon shampoos and conditioners expensive?
