There are actually (live action) movies in the works of both Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid. The Castlevania movie is apparently in pre-production (it's on imdb), though nthere's no real news as to what it will be about. I at one point had hopes for a movie fill-in on Julius Belmont's story, preceding Aria of Sorrow.

The rights have been released for a Metal Gear Solid movie, and Hideo Kojima has mentioned it a few times in interviews. It would appear that it will be done in english, but I don't know much else (no firther information appears to be available).

All I can hope is that they aren't both butchered like certain other game-movie conversions I could mention. I'm sure Kojima will make sure MGS is good, but I am a little worried about Castlevania (interesting, to me at least, is that according to imdb, Jonathan Frakes will be in it. Could be interesting...). An anime would probably far better suit Castlevania, but maybe that's just me. I just can't picture whip combat working out well in live action.

Ooh, I hadn't checked the imdb page recently; Sonia Belmont, eh?
(Did anyone else play Castlevania Legends on GB? It is suspected by many that Alucard is actually Trevor's papa! Additionally, it is interesting that they should include Sonia in the film, since supposedly, her story isn't canon.)

They're doing a live action movie of Castlevania? That is kind of surprising, it's not really suited for one (in my oppinion at least). But many movies like this never leave pre-production, so nothing is official till I see a trailer.

That is unusual, making a movie out of a non-canon story. Maybe they want the movie to stay out of the official storyline? I could see Jonathon Frakes as Dracula (given the beard and all).
