Evolution is the scientific approach to life and how its come to be. Darin's theory of evolution sparked a lot of contorversy, basically his theory was Survival of the fittest. Not meaning that only the physically strong survived, but the ones who adapted the best to their environment. Natural selection, mutation, genetic drift, adaptation, etc, all fall under evolution, it sounds rational to me. However, a recent movie titled Expelled: No intelligence allowed (featuring ben stein) argues that the theory of evolution has been attatched to certain philisophical views that are counter productive to society. The movie argues that Evolutionism (darwinism) justifies ideas like racism, imperialism, slavery, nazism, social inequality, etc

You meant DARWIN's THEORY..(maybe a spelling error..I persumed)

Since 10 years ago DARWIN's THEORY has been debated quite fairly known as the BLACK BOOK of Darwin's Theory comprises all proven scientific reaseaches that points out uncertainties in early Darwin's.

No its not the movie that pointed out the llimitation of this theory. They just adapt the findings and presented their mere interpretation to the mass.

If I have to choose to believe in anything, I choose evolution.

thats silly i do beleive in a supreme being and its (imo) dumb to say that they can be joined. you cant beleive that god created all the animals on earth and in evolution it just doesnt make sense.

Well considering what order the animals came out in the bible is somewhat similar to how life formed on earth. Starts off with god creating the heavens and the earth, Big bang? then it goes on to say he created land that that came up from under the ocean, volcanoes? Then it goes on to say he created sea creatures and birds, everything started in the sea and as they evolved dinosaurs came about, which evolved to modern day birds. then the beasts (mamals) and then man. A religious friend mentioned this to me, I thought it was an interesting point.

A lot of debate is going on in the United States on the idea of intelligent design. The idea that life is so complicated and so mechanical that there had to be a devine designer. This subject is being taught in schools as opposed to Evolution, which wasn't a popular or common idea until after the discovery and recognition of DNA somtime in the 1940's. The Kansas state board of education requires intelligent design to be taught in schools and as a result a man named Bobby Hendersen created a religion to protest their decision, Pastafarianism. (not going to cover it but its quite interesting, google it)

Fundamentalist christians take creationism quite literaly, the world and all its animals were created in 6 days by god and he rested on the 7th day. Intelligent design somewhat backs up this theory, but with all the sci-fi religions floating around, there is also another theory, that we are test tube experiments done by aliens, (another form of intelligent design) originally created to be slaves. Sounds ridiculous but people believe!

Evolution is the scientific approach to life and how its come to be. Darin's theory of evolution sparked a lot of contorversy, basically his theory was Survival of the fittest. Not meaning that only the physically strong survived, but the ones who adapted the best to their environment. There are pro's and con's to each Point Of View, none is 100% correct, but I'd like to know what you believe and why. If you marked have no clue/dont care, or other please specify why.

I'd like to keep this friendly and ask that you don't attack or pass judgements on other peoples beliefs. What you decide to response with is an OPINION and not in fact a universal TRUTH.

Personally I believe in Evolution, while not totally ruling out the possibility of a higher being. Which means I happen to be agnostic. My religion is buddhism and I'd like to point out that the Buddha was not a god, he was a philosipher who became enlightend through discipline and self realisation. But back to the topic, I just can't see how you can argue against fossils and genetic evidence.

If everyone evolved from monkey's and ape's, than why do we still have monkey's and apes?

Also, if you believe that the world just popped up one day, welp than, you have more faith than me.

So where exactly do you stand on this subject?
What you're saying about man and ape is just like saying why are there so many different species of birds or fish. They evolved to adapt to their environment. The difference between chimps and humans is a mere 2%.
Well, no matter which idea you take into consideration, creationism or the big bang theory, the world popped up one day.

Yes, Darwins, thank you for pointing that out.

As far as Darwins theory, its still just a theory. Not all scientific answers which scientist present as fact is absolute. If theres a lot of evidence going for it, its accepted as truth, until they cannot prove something, it will be percieved as truth. You can take quantum physics into consideration, a lot of work that they do is theoretical and based upon physics as we percieved it, which makes it limited. theoretically a lot of unrealistic things could happen due to probability and they can do the math on the paper, but those events will not happen, but theres still a chance it could. So just like any theory theres room for change, no theory is 100%, which is why its still a theory. the theory of evolution has come a long way since then. Until something better comes a long, it will be presented as truth.

I think you're missing the point of this whole thing, can anyone of these be proven 100%? Which is why I wanted to discuss all aspects of it. The quantum physics example does not contradict. the science is based on formulas. Its almost purely mathematical, when they factor in probability into their formulas they can make a lot of things work out on paper, its probable, but will never happen.

nature is overwhelmingly informed by signs of design and intelligence. Therefore it is simply logical to infer that nature is the expression of an intelligent being. That belief may turn out to be incorrect, but it is certainly not irrational.
