Magus102ism actually. The whole of the law shall be do as thou whilst in my religion.

That's it? Is there a baptism? Some type of ceremonial thing we have to do to convert? Do we have to repeat 3 times things like "Hail Magnus102 the most omnipotent. Hail Magnus102 the most glorious. Hail Magnus102 the most fair...?".

Well, you can't start a new religion there, as I believe (if I understand the word "omnipotent" well) that we're all omnipotent in our nature as a human...lol

What about logic?
Posted 4/14/08 , edited 4/18/08
It is logical. He's just saying that he's godly in his own way by being able to do anything that doesn't contradict the laws of the human plane of existence. Just like god, but god has his own set of rules to play by. He just used fancy wording to make a simple mindset sound complex in an effort to raise the illusion of his intellect lol

I agree. With the expansion of his vocabualry, he has taken one common thought and streched it into something more complex and made to seem more superior to the rest. all smoke and mirrors.

I don't think he's trying to twist his words around to make him seem godly, his idea was pretty straight forward to me. I think he was just trying to see how many not-so-bright people would read this and think that he's saying he's a God, then start preaching about how none of us could ever come close to having his power and how God could fart and blow up the universe. I don't see how anyone could get enjoyment out of a bunch of dumb holier-than-thou people yelling at them, but whatever floats your boat.

i agree,if based on the present meaning of this word, then you really are,but can you prove that what you say is omnipotent is the logical basis of omnipotence?

i find it funny that the first replies of some of your first post are "lol."XD

It seems to me that I am omnipotent. To be clear, this is no equivocation. The word “omnipotent” is meant here as it is used in most theology. And this is appropriate, for it is only the maneuvering of theology that have made this assertion possible.

As a rock melts under the flow of water, so this word’s meaning has been chipped away at through the centuries. In a proper world, the word “omnipotent” would mean “all-powerful.” Its Latin roots tell us this: omnia means “all”, and potentia means “power”. But, although this was no doubt the original meaning of the term, its meaning has changed, and it now means, roughly, “able to do anything that does not entail a contradiction.”

I can certainly do anything that doesn’t entail a contradiction. I can do anything that does not contradict my nature or the laws of nature: I can speak, walk, and write. I cannot do things that contradict my nature or the laws of nature: I cannot fly by flapping my arms, because that would violate the law of gravity, for example. It seems that my powers are bound only by the law of non-contradiction, as are God’s.

Correct me if I'm wrong, what Magnus was trying to say is that God and human, both share a same characteristic, that is omnipotent. It doesnt necessary mean that God and human have an equal power or position. Just as Magnus said we can do anything we want as long as it doesn't contradict the nature of human's law. But a super being like God is omnicompetent (that is the characteristic of possessing at least omnipotence, omniscience, and omnibenevolence). Is human omniscience (know everything) and omnibenevolence (perfectly caring, loving, and has no moral fault)?

Although connotation is everything, I still think the definition really hasn't changed over time. I haven't heard omnipotent being used that way. However, you can put a turn on everything. "I'm invincible until the day I die." is a great example. Trust me, its true. I can't die until the day I die =P

Well, I described omnipotent in a philosophical way (I learned this in my philosophy class >_<). If you said that being able to do anything, then life when you die (i mean you live and die at the same time) is possible? But is it possible? NO (think logically). Then can you do anything that involve contradiction? NO... So which one seems more logical?
