NyaronChan wrote: =___=;;; You're all acting like immature little kids. Seriously. Caps Lock Abuse and whining is all I see. Honestly, Licensing the anime is a COMPLIMENT to the series. It means its worth the large sum of money to go and hire VAs to come in and do the lines, The money to pay the Translators that work hard to make sure the lines are understandable AND fit to the lip flap, The money to pay for the directors. Do you people even understand how much money it costs to dub even a few lines? The pay for A SINGLE HOUR of Voice Acting it up to 50$ or so! And think about how many characters there are, how many hours the main cast will be in for, ect. ect. For a company to license the anime, they have to be able to pay for FIFTY-TWO episodes worth of voice acting, directing, and translating. Sheesh. You're ALL taking it the WRONG WAY. It's not an "OMIGAWD WE WANNA MAKE IT SO PEOPLE CAN'T WATCH IT." First off, watching it this way is TECHNICALLY ILLEGAL. Secondly, they want to licence it because A: It is a good series worth the money and effort, and B: More people will be able to watch it. As a note, if and when it is licenced, It would most likely be closer to the end of the series when a licence would be announced. Since this is a 52-episode series, expect around episodes 50-52 a licence to be announced. Possibly a bit later, since it is a long series and would probably require a bit of thinking on the company's part to take up the series or not. Seriously, DON'T SWEAT IT. Also, don't worry if "OMG DUBS SUCK". Good dubbing companies prefer to include the original Japanese Language episodes with subs on their DVDs, since they KNOW people like that. Sheesh. People, get a grip. It's not the end of the world. And god, to think some of you are just about my age. >___< (I'm 16, believe it or not.) Thank you, some one finnaly understands. |

okay, i don't want them to license the anime shugo chara either, but don't you think you guys are over reacting? I mean there are other sites with the anime shugo chara, both raw and english dubbed. i understand how you guys feel but the ones who actually believe that this anime will be licensed are actually ready for it and know what to do if it is. and the others that are over reacting are just, over reacting. i'm not saying its a bad thing about over reacting and i'm not saying its a good thing that shugo chara might get licensed, but you guys just need to accept it if it ever happens.

Sometime in the future it'll be licensed, whether you like it or not.
Even the series hasn't ended yet, it can be licensed, just like what happened to Death Note. It originally has 37 episodes but it was licensed shortly after episode 34 was uploaded. Don't act like a kid like saying 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! IT CAN'T BE!!!!!!!!!'. You look terrible. |

Reading a few posts here it seems few even know what 'licensed' means (English version before licensing? Whut? Crunchyroll doing the licensing? Even bigger 'whut?' Not being licensed on other websites?! Okay, you've got to be joking there).
It's probably been said three times now, but to further clarify: 'Licensed' in the anime fandom means the series' license has been bought by an American company (NO, not the website you're ILLEGALLY viewing it on). The license, which costs an awful lot of money for such a small market, gives the American company the right to edit and release the material in their country. This means dubbing over with new, English language voices, using their own translated and adapted scripts. Some series (possibly Shugo Chara!, but I'm hoping not as I can imagine which company would do this, and they're not a popular one) are then showed to TV stations like Cartoon Network who may or may not choose to buy the rights to show the series. To make back the money they spent working on the English language version of the series and make their profit (that means the workers, many of them anime fans like you, get paid) the company releases the series on DVD. DVDs will include a selection of audio options (Japanese, English, sometimes even the language of your neighbouring country) and subtitles you can turn on or off! They may even include translated extras such as interviews with the Japanese voice actors, or director's commentary, and you may get a booklet of translation notes to help you understand the Japanese things seen or said in the show. Licensing isn't a bad thing. There are lots of people who only see things when they get in the shops or on telly. Also, when you buy that DVD some of the money goes towards the license paid to the people in Japan who made the series. The more DVDs and merchandise you buy the more money can be given to support the creation of series you enjoy! |
