Please read before posting!!!
It's probably not clear, but threads such as these are welcome in CR, as long as they follow these simple rules. Abide by them, recite them to yourselves, mumble them in your sleep... just do it or else the thread gets locked.

1. Make sure all posts are in ENGLISH only. Translations are also not allowed.
Remember that CR is an international site. Also, it is difficult for moderators to handle a thread they cannot understand...

2. Post Responsibly
If you're not one of the said nationalities, make it a point not to post on this thread without good reason.

3. Stick to the topics
Threads like these were designed for people to meet other people of the same nationality. Besides this, you can discuss relevant events/issues in your respective countries. It's very easy for threads like this to get chatty, so I suggest you be aware when the topics start to become very chatty.

Thank you, and good day. :)

^ When did I say stuff like that? It sounds familiar, but a bit different...

I'm an American mutt by law... Filipino-American, but with no direct American relatives.

My bloodline is Filipino, Spanish, Chinese, and a little bit of Japanese.

African, Haitian, Dominican, Native American (Comanche), AND, Caucasian (not sure what kind never was close to the white relatives)
That's about it

Here's a fun fact: An African albino usually has pigment marks on their skin, such as freckles or dark spots, as well as yellow hair, but since I have white genes in me, I have no freckles and my hair is more like a platinum blonde color.

And now you know, and knowledge is power

My mother's side is a lot more clear cut. My grandmother was a German warbride, going back to the US with my grandfather after world war II. My grandfather is beleived to be of swedish descent. A family member started to do family tree research on his side but stopped once she came across a duel over a slave girl...

My father's side is a bit of mystery as that none of them have really done any research on it. We beleive my grandmother on his side is of Russian descent, and that my grandmother is at the very least from either of Irish or English descent. The last name was used by both, but I've come to the conclusion that it's Irish since people on his side are occasionally fair skinned and red haired, and it's known that irish immigrants with that last name settled in the northern part of the state.

That being said, it looks like I got all the german blood and my sister got all the irish blood. I'm the spitting image of german great uncle, blonde hair, proportions, etc. I remember when going to germany locals would actually talk to me in german since I so looked like one of them. My sister has ruddy hair (it's gotten less red the older she's gotten but, there is still some red in it) and fair skin. I typically identify more with the german side anyways - I really felt at home when I visited germany.
