Because he's in his prime...idk. He's still young and young people do stupid things but you would think that he wouldn't considering that he's been in the game since he was 14 yrs. old so...he should know how to act as a celebrity-public figure.

if u want u can make a new discussion question .... if not, oh well....

Naw. It can stay. People haven't, uncluding myself, haven't activly participated in this so this can stay until May 15.

thats being selfish... honestly none of know the pressures & stress the spotlight requires... honestly all his shit is great.... he's a grown man and has made a decision... im sure Lupe feels his sanity & peace, and all that other other stuff we take for granted is more important than being the big rap superstar

Nah thats just staing the facts. With all the bullshit floating around we someone like him... take a break for while dont leave us we're just now begining to understand Lupe. Shit don't do mainstream just put out mix tapes from now on just give. He is dealing with alot of stress but he knew that before he got in the game.

i dont think there is any type of preparation for fame... becuz it exists at so many levels... & for lupe & his skill.... it has to be crazy for him... just imagine having to do a show in Paris in the morning & in Tokyo at night....

Alicia Keys took a vacation to Egypt... before/durring the production of her latest album cuz the stress wuz getting to her... she admitted that she was getting close to crazy... in so many words....

when your a big celeb, u not only have your music to do, you have album promotions, tv appearances... humanitarian work... and becuz theres only so much time in the day... these ppl are often forced to turn down ppl... could u choose between a concert for Africa benifit or a concert for Cancer children.... the only option is to reschedule 1 or the other 8 months later.... those kinda decisions would get me, its alot of pressure

Well maybe he has talked it all out. I rather for a person to retire and has thought that they have done as much as they can do...at least for now. Maybe when he has experienced some new things, them he'll come back and talk about it.

Because Black people are cheap! That's one of the main things Bob did and was known for when he was CEO.

I heard from someone who had read his book that he tried to put on quality shows its just that people only wanted to watch music videos all damn day! Do you think BET took the right step? Yeah I remember when i was kid and I would sit and watch music videos over and over again but it go boring around 12 p.m.!

my ideas....

CANT BLAME 'EM CUZ

-BET had 2 keep up w/ MTV... its just bizness

MTV had stupid programming on... only difference between it & BET is... MTV target audience is the teen-25yr old ppl, primarily white, but not limited to... where BET had to target ALL Black people of all age groups, genders, etc.

meaning... smaller target audience = more pleased viewers.... bigger target audience = less pleased viewers
